| I'm distracted and I can't concentrate, so I'll do the high school thing: post lyrics.
They say the odds against me are crooked and impossibleLike I was born with a hole in my heart as an obstacleLeft to die by the doctors in the childrens hospitalBut I never lose hope; success is psychologicalThe world is volatile and the street is my educationShaping the nation, like the blueprint of a masonWhile Shawshank record deals get you raped on occasionSo I'm focused on my Economic SituationI'm like the little kids on TV that dig through the trashI hustle regardless of the way you talk shit and laughA lot of niggaz drop science but they don't know the mathBecause their mind is narrower than the Righteous PathIt's funny how, on the block, niggaz will kill you for cashBut never raise the gun and cry out "Freedom at last."The Cold War is over but the world is still gettin colderAtlas walking through the projects with the 'hood on my shouldersI would like to raise my children to grow to be soldiersBut then the General would decide when their life would be overSo I work hard until my personality splitLike the Black Panthers, into the Bloods and the CripsThey said I would never be shit, but now I sit and reminiceLike Yeshua, Ben Yousef flippin through GenesisIgnorance is venemous, and it murders the soulLike a virus running rampant, but out of controlSo if I should ever fall and get caught in a hustleLet them know that I died while I fought in a struggleFrom the hoodrats to the rich kids lost in a bubbleSpray painting on the streets and at the subway tunnelsWrite it down and remember that we never gave inThe Mind of a child is where the revolution beginsSo if the solution has never been to look in yourselfHow is it that you expect to find it anywhere elseImmortal Technique in the streets, back on the hustlecause three strikes will get you life for stuffin cracks in a duffleUpstate behind steel gates intact in the scuffleRazor blades stuck on the side of pencils, hacked to your muscleBut the emptiness is what bleeds you to death when it cuts youAnd its the lawyers, not the inmates, scheming to fuck youTrying to fight the system from inside eventually corrupts youBut thats what you get when you put a corporation above youAnd it's the people that love you that seem to hurt you the mostSometimes when they die you find yourself cursing their ghostBut you make success, nobody delivers your fateSometimes you give and you takeSince Prehistoric Vertibrates, crawled out of the lakesAnd thats the truth about lifeOr to do it to ghetto and your car, rims, and your iceBecause even though we survived through the struggle that made usWe still look at ourselves through the eyes of people that hate usBut I'm going to make it regardless of the trumped up chargesAnd semi-automatic barrages, that empty the cartridgePost-Tramatically scar kids that try to be braveBecause niggaz backstab each other just to try to get paidTurn cannibal like nights during the crusadesAfraid of responsibility; Addicted to greedBeating their girls purposefully losing a seedAs if we were bound to the destiny we used to recieveSo if I should ever fall and get caught in a hustleLet them know that I died while I fought in a struggleFrom the hoodrats to the rich kids lost in a bubbleSpray Painting on the streets and at the subway tunnelsWrite it down and remember that we never gave inThe Mind of a child is where the revolution beginsSo if the solution has never been to look in yourselfHow is it that you expect to find it anywhere elseI used to wonder about people who didn't believe in themselvesBut then I saw the way that they portrayed us to everyone elseThey cursed us, to only see the worst in ourselvesblind to the fact the whole time we were hurting ourselves

| Fidel Castro resigned as the head of state of Cuba today. Of course,
one of the first things that the President of the United States of
America said in response that political prisoners in Cuba need to be
released and "In the meantime, political prisoners will rot in prison
and the human condition will remain pathetic in many
cases."1 I can't help thinking about how America
under the leadership of it's own head of state has held political
prisoners without factual basis. For example, the detention of
innocents from Afghanistan and Pakistan in the Guantanamo Bay prison
facility WITHOUT due process.2 Are we America,
or what? How does our head of state get off telling another country to
do something we've been doing for almost the past decade? Cuba doesn't
go into other countries to pick up suspected terrorists and farmers
alike and imprison them without due process with very little chance of
leaving.
Something has gone wrong with America, because this isn't the sh-t that
I've read our country was supposed to be. I'm definitely ready for some
changes.

| Well, I suppose it's been a long time since I've dug this up. The last thing I remember about Xanga was that they were changing the format and I couldn't look at some blogs unless I switched over to the new format. I wasn't too crazy about that.
So I guess I'll be poking around...
