My hair is currently stuck in that awkward stage while it's being grown out.  The highlights had faded and the blondish streaks in my hair looked like hay in a barn.  So yesterday, I desperately begged Hitomi not to leave work early as she'd orginally planned and bribed her to stay later for my last minute appointment with some bubble tea and Japanese snacks .  Then I threw in a 35% tip for keeping her waiting while I hauled my ass through rush hour traffic.  Anything to avoid looking like Photo #1!
