I’m currently in the city of Vienna, which is as pretty as it sounds (read: it’s ‘mazing). The only down side to being here, is that it’s currently in a competition….. This competition is with the devil to see who can create the hotter environment.
This is just some random pictures from earlier in my trip. Non of these are super recent, but this is the first chance I have to send some out.
********************************************************************************* My friend that I found outside an art gallery, unfortunately, he had a lazy eye ? *********************************************************************************
Vienna is still pretty sweet though. I mean, how often can you feel like the biggest snob? I got to hit up a concert…in Vienna…. in Europe. How sweet is that? They busted some Mozart and other classics. It was pretty slick.
Mike had a sweet picture of this really sweet building, so I suplized him, and made the picture better. Much better.
********************************************************************************* This castle pretty much pwnd. The picture doesn’t do it justice at all.
********************************************************************************* tehehehe, this guy is silly
********************************************************************************* This is called haggis. Here’s a definition from wikipedia:
Haggis is a traditional Scottish dish. Although there are many recipes, it is normally made with the following ingredients: sheep's 'pluck' (heart, liver, and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and traditionally boiled in the animal's stomach for approximately an hour. It somewhat resembles stuffed intestines (pig intestines otherwise known as chitterlings), sausages and savoury puddings of which it is among the largest types. *********************************************************************************
I got some bad news for you guys too… Mike… well… he broke down. He washed them. Not a straight wash, more of a “take them in with the shower with you and hope they get clean” sort of thing. Whatever, I’m still disappointed.
Take it easy guys, and someone plan something to do on August 5 (before I leave for Africa @ 5). I'll be game for sure.
I’m in England
at the moment (and the slight differences on this keyboard is killing me, so
the rest might be written in lower case :P ), and it is absolutely gorgeous! We
went to Cambridge
for the day and it was simply stunning! I can see myself spending quite a bit
of time here down the road.
Also, for those that don’t know, I have absolutely the
_coolest_ friends in the world! I got several “care packages” which were both hysterical,
and meaningful. I’ll dive into those when I get back, and can upload some
pictures. I’ve already feel a slight British Accent sneaking in on me. Heck, it
even shows in my writing (seriously! Go re-read this post with your best British
accent, and minus the first line, it will flow!).
Unlike a cheesy British accent, other things here are harder
to pick up. Perhaps we shall call them “cultural uniqueness”. For instance,
today in the Pub, I overheard a waitress a few tables down proclaiming that
today’s special was “Spotted Dick”…
….ehem
Another difference is that everything is smaller, and more efficient.
The roads, the freezer, the loo, cars, and… well… people. Michael and I are
joining forces to create the O.P.C project (The last word is “Counting”, and if
you can figure out the rest of the acronym, I shall be impressed). At last
count, we’ve spotted a mere 2 obese people, and 2 that fall into a split decision.
In other news Mike, is on day 3 of his boxers that allegedly
can go 6 weeks without a wash…..
Sorry for the L.A.M.E. update, but I’ll try and get out a
weekly update when I can spare a few moments.
Much <3’z,
Paul (P.S. Drop me an email @ paulhontz2@gmail.com and drop me a note,
or a news update from around Holland)
This is just a quick mini post (check back later this week for a real one), to inform you that my birthday is on April 4.
Now, what does this mean to you? Well, if you live in Holland this means that you need to give me my presents this thursday before I leave, but if you live in Doylse Town, then you can give them to me on my actual birthday (hint hint).
I'll totally give the best giftgiver a prize (suggestions?) as a reward.
Points are for the following categories: creativity, sentimental value, ideas based on older posts, ect.
Good luck, and expect a real post soon. And no worries if there aren't any presents, I'll still love you.
