China Earthquake

http://www.redcross.org/news/in/profiles/Intl_profile_ChinaEarthquake.html
It makes me so sad to hear about China's major earthquake. I think that as Americans, even though we don't like communism in China (although with that many people, it's probably best), I think we suffer when we see other countries suffer from a natural disaster. Especially after Katrina, I think we became more humanized and compassionate for others. When I see what the Red Cross does and how much I would love to be part of that, it makes me really want to have some kind of clinical skill, whether it be RN, NP, PA or MD so I could help and send more than just money. Aside from that, I wonder if Peace Corps is sending Crisis Corps volunteers to China to help?
