time for my annual update!  i'm baaack in ny!  just moved this weekend.  been crazy busy.  still unpacking, but leaving for europe in a few hours (nice and barcelona, here i come!).  only going for a week, and then i start my new job on the 14th.  i'll be covering emerging markets again, so i might do more traveling around the globe soon!

neways, for all you new yorkers, we gotta reconnect/hang out!  for all you philly pple, i'm gonna miss u!!! but now u have another place to visit/crash in nyc!  ok, gotta keep this one short & sweet.  that's my update!

as promised...time to update!  can't believe how quickly the summer flew by...crazy that labor day's just around the corner.  gonna spend the long weekend in sunny cali, so that should be a good way to close it off!  then i'm starting SCHOOL the following week!!!  even crazier!!!   well, i'll still be working, but going to take classes part time...so that's probably the latest news with me.  i'm excited and a little nervous at the same time.  but if i suddenly go into hermit mode, don't forget about me and remember to pull me out from my cave!!  and for those of you in philly with something to study for or who just like sitting at bookstores and keeping me company, i'll be in need of study buddies!!!!

on a separate note, CALLING ALL RUNNERS...actually SEMI RUNNERS...real serious runners will leave me behind gasping for breath in the dust.   i just found out that the philly distance run is only three weeks away!   i've been saying i want to do it this year, but somehow it just snuck up on me.  i'm about 9 miles away from being ready (yeah, i'm REALLY far behind..i've barely left the start line) so need to do some hard core ramping up so i can do it...or at least die trying!!!!   yeah, i dunno how feasible it is at this point, but i could use some motivation/inspiration if anyone's up for it!!!  ok, that's all for now!!!  enjoy the rest of your summer everyone!!!

wow, i haven't updated in so long that it took me a while to find the button for 'new weblog entry'...no joke.  to all my lovely fans out there, will try to update more soon, but some of u should probably be doing something anyway rather than reading this (studying?  ahem, u know who u are ...press on!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!) so i'm probably helping pple out by not writing too often!

thought of the moment: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5

ok, time for my annual update!  figured i shouldn't keep my xanga stalkers in suspense too long.  here's the highlights from 2005 so far:

summer: went to greece...that was fun & relaxing!!  visited athens (lotsa historic sites), mykonos (chilled in paradise...that was really the name of the beach!), and santorini (gorgeous views...had a nice romantic date w/amy at a restaurant on a cliff overlooking the sunset! hehe).  now where oh where shall our next place to see & conquer be??

sept: went to asia for work...crazy busy, but a good time.  whizzed thru five countries in a week and a half (korea, hk, philippines, singapore & indonesia).  was in meetings most of the time, but i did have one day in korea to myself , and a weekend in singapore.  got to catch up w/pple i haven't seen in ages too, which was good, although too bad it was so brief!  let's see...highlights...i rode a motorcycle in korea!!!  got to check that off my things-to-do-before-i-die list. ok, so it was a smaller, older motorcycle and we went pretty slow b/c i'd scream if we accelerated too much, but nonetheless, i rode on one!!!  in singapore...ate a lot of good food (yummy!), shopped and visited chinatown (so different from ny's..clean!) and india town.  just to back track for those of you who don't know, i switched groups a few months ago, and i'm covering emerging markets now..so if anyone has any good asia stock tips, let's talk!!  just don't recommend anything that's gonna blow up in my face please!

last week: ran an 8k w/chris..woohoo! we did it!!!  i'd like to do a marathon at some point..but somehow, ramping up 21 more miles seems like quite a task, even if we have a year...

now: work's been busy, and i'm sooooo looking forward to the thanksgiving break and some good ol' turkey & stuffing!! mmmMMM!!!  things i'm thankful for: family, friends, and god's love & grace.  i feel like god's really been teaching me a lot this year, and while the future always holds so many uncertainties, i just need to continue to trust in Him.

shout outs to my girls!!! - chris, congrats on ur job offer!!! i'm so proud of you!!! youngun, congrats on ur new job!! ok, yes, you've been there for a few wks now, but i haven't updated and i'm still proud!  god is good!

long time no write...hope my lovely fans didn't miss me TOO much

well, this one's for tracey....i'm updating finally.  highlight of my week: i drove an H1...SO FUN.  it's the military style commercial hummers (not the H2s you see everywhere, the cooler ones).  took it on a test track and then through the woods.  yes that's right, me, the girl who doesn't drive...shhH! don't tell, no one knew...i did pretty good if i might say so myself *pat on the back*

just got back from asia a couple of weeks ago...i rode a camel (that was fun) and slid down a sand dune...then i crashed (that was not so fun).  it was an experience, but good to be back in the states with plumbing and safety standards.

ok, thats all.
