O.k. so I haven't updated in a while.  I've been hanging out at myspace to catch up there and my computer takes too long to do anything so I haven't had time to update here...anyway...I don't really have much to say except that...it never ceases to amaze me that people try to have 'the best of both worlds'.  They are christians but they try to be part of the world.  There are so many references in the Bible to this type of living.  It all boils to down to one verse...James 4:4 "You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God".  This verse is very clear that you can't be a part of two different worlds.  It talks about 'friendship' with the world.  Upon pondering that, I came up with this thought: Does friendship come instantly or do you have to work at it?  You have to work at it which means that to become friends with the world you have to work at it over a period of time.  It starts with an introduction and then spending time with it and then you have to keep up a working relationship with it.  You don't have to work at being an enemy.  That's easy.  I find it interesting then that so many people who are christians can be friends with the world.  Shouldn't our goal be to please God?  If it is then friendship with God is the outcome and naturally, the world is our enemy.  So really at the root of it all is that most people aren't out to please God but to please themselves.  I challenge any christian who thinks they can be friends with the world and please God at the same time to prove me wrong (biblically).  I will end with this quote from Pastor Roland Yarborough "We are not human beings having a spiritual experience...we are spirit beings having a human experience".  I love you guys to pieces.
