  • Deafness

In February 2006, Apple was sued by a Louisiana man because the iPod was causing hearing loss.  Check it out here.

I am finally letting go of those Apple earbuds. On the plane from Montgomery, Daniel and I were watching Italian Job on his iPod Touch, with a headphone splitter. I plugged in my Apple earbuds and he plugged in his JVC Marshmallows. I had him turn the volume up because I couldn't hear the movie very well. Mind you, I had both earbuds in and he only had 1 earbud in. So, he turned it up and I could just hear it OK so I had to follow along with the subtitles to actually get what was going on. Well, after a while, Daniel decides to turn it down so I'm like WTF so I grab his unoccupied earbud and I put it in my ear. I could hear the movie perfectly fine!?!

So then later, Daniel picked me up at a pair of JVC Marshamallow green earbuds (to match my iPod Nano of course) from Best Buy. They were $20 and are excellent! Normally on my iPod with the Apple earbuds (at one point, they were retail $50), the volume bar would almost be all the way to the right but now with the new JVC Marshmallows, it's barely at the half way point. Thanks for saving my ears, baby!!!

  • Goal

In approximately 6 months, I hope to have a specific item in my possession: my 3rd Black Belt. There is a test in March for 2nd Dan who wish to test for 3rd Dan, I believe. I have been concentrating really hard on my forms for the past year and a half in preparation for my new promotion test. Starting in January, I will need to start making up a form. I hope to get that done by the end of January so I will have a couple months to practice the form - I think that will be sufficient time for me. I look forward to next year bringing me up to a new level in various aspects.

This entry is a lot shorter than I planned - maybe it's because I only had 3.5 hours of sleep and have imprecise judgment. Maybe I will add more later.

PS: it's wet out and so are my toes

  • Ain't she a beaut!?

3:39PM. So I'm finally ditching my (Sprint) Samsung A-900 and my (T-Mobile) Sidekick 3 for this brand new (Sprint) Palm Centro. I'm lovin' it so far. There are just some minor but annoying glitches. Random reboots (i.e. sometimes when i close out an AIM conversation or when i try to load a page that's too large) and weird things going on with the free Sprint Mobile Email application. Other than those 2 major complaints, I'm really enjoying my first smartphone!! The size is great. Keyboard is a little small but that's ok - I have small fingers. Beautiful 2", 320x320 touchscreen display.

  • well, I guess I just slept for about 4 hours and I was up at 4AM and now I'm doing this paper for Philosophy class. The rest of the semester will be even more interesting.

I'm trying to get all my stuff done before the weekend so I don't have to worry about homework when I'm in NY and when I get back from NY. lol

    My back is killing me!

So I'm eating this bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. To my surprise, it's not half bad! Mmmmm, bacon.

Ahh, the other day, I had Chinese Calligraphy w/Inglis finally. Reminds me of good times from his previous classses...

I'm going to finish up my food and head over to the library and work on my Ethics paper. See? This semester is going to be crazy
