The above paragraph is decidely not English. Nor is it Spanish, Pennsylvania Dutch, Norwegian, or Farsi. It isn't even a secret code readable only by government operatives stationed in Intercourse, PA. Government operatives disguised as Amish patio furniture manufacturers. Not even that.
No, it's just pure gibberish with no meaning whatsoever.

| It's Monday. It's raining (I was going to write something like 'The heavens weep for the sins of men', but decided to simply state that it's raining). Yesterday was an interesting day. Friends, softball, pizza, Monopoly, and other stuff. One of the other things was a pc game called CounterStrike, in which counterterrorists try to rescue hostages, disarm bombs, and kill terrorists. I decided that the these United States of America probably shouldn't depend on me to defend the cause of freedom, democracy, and the right to Dunkin Donuts. In other words, I am really bad at that game, and would probably be dead if I were a real soldier.
Rain makes me sort of melancholy. Not in bad sort of way. I just sink into a happily melancholy sort of mood. It's kind of enjoyable, makes me want to cry.
The race is on for the most powerful position in the world, President of the United States. With the right twisting of words, the bandying of politically charged speech, and "accidental media leaks" about various people involved, the race is on. Soon it will be over, to the relief of millions worldwide. To the relief of those who actually follow the news. Those who don't will hear that someone won the election, and will say, "Who?" Some may live or die by the outcome of the election. Years will pass and others will be elected. Most likely this candidate will become a footnote on the pages of history, and eventually forgotten. Unless they do something really great, or really bad. Then we might remember their name (for awhile). Nonetheless, they are important for this moment in history.
This is my melancholy side coming through today.

| Many moments have passed, and this poor, wayfaring stranger continues to travel the maze of life.
Greetings to everyone.
Hopefully I will have time to really write something sometime.

| What can I say? A lot actually, but not much that you don't already know. There is an amazingly huge amount of information on the internet, most of which is probably misinformation, lies, extremely far out opinions, or videos of people torturing their cats with laser lights... but you already know this so why am I telling you?
Since its now January and a new year (oh wait, its the 27th already) I will dredge up some new year resolutions from last year, and see if I managed to keep them during 2007. Last year I said that...
1. First I would like to travel... around the solar system. Well I suppose we all did that because the planet does that every year... or maybe the earth stayed still and the entire universe spun around the earth in such a way that made it appear that we were orbiting the sun, I'm not sure. One thing is certain: only a complete nerd would make a new years resolution that involves planetary orbits. I did manage a small bit of suborbital travel in 2007, just last week I went to Ohio which was pretty cool, and which was also definitely not in 2007.
2. Secondly I plan to obey the law of gravity I definitely did this in 2007 and continue my stellar adherance to the law of gravity in 2008, which has recently had some unfortunate effects. All attempts to fly, hover, leap over tables, and dunk basketballs have been successfully thwarted by the dictates of gravity as explained by Sir Isaac Newton. I have noticed that everyone around me also seems to be doing a great job at this. Good job guys.
3. Thirdly, I plan to spend the majority of the time breathing Thirdly? I wasn't sure that that's a word, but it actually is. Even though I didn't keep records, I think I was breathing most of the time. Getting the recommended dose of oxygen is another matter. Our organic chemistry lab probably had a negative effect on the oxygen intake. Otherwise, I'm still breathing and thankful for that.
So happy belated new year to you all.

| So... life has been pretty busy and a little bit stressful, but it's mostly interesting, interspersed with moments of boredom here and there. School is good, I'm getting decent grades, and am being a bit more social than past semesters. Two weeks ago I turned twenty-five; five more years and I'll be thirty. Um, not ready for that yet. Well God has been good for the past many years of my life. Sure it hasn't been exactly what I expected, but life is like that. Yesterday I went out hiking at a park close to my house, it was cool and inspired my hidden poetic nature. However, I'm too lazy to write my own poetry so I'll just borrow someone else's.
- The Road goes ever on and on
- Down from the door where it began.
- Now far ahead the Road has gone,
- And I must follow it, if I can,
- Pursuing it with weary feet,
- Until it joins some larger way,
- Where many paths and errands meet.
- And whither then? I cannot say.
