here's a little fourth of july riddle for you. what's hotter than a firework, almost as flammable, but a lot less fun? my house now that the air conditioner isn't working. yes, it just waved its little white flag of surrender and gave up on us yesterday. it is now a balmy 94 degrees in my house (it's 82 degrees outside...). tons of fun.

sorry i haven't updated in forever, custer. hopefully this will bring you even the smallest inkling of joy. my life is a tad bland at the moment.

so, i got home from vacation yesterday. now i'm pretty spoiled and really don't want to go to work tomorrow, or ever again for that matter. right now that really awful looking adam sandler movie about the remote that controls the universe looks appealing b/c i really just want to fast forward to august. but until then it's spanish and school supplies for me.

i'm pretty much in love w/ delta gamma rho.

life before scott was very dull indeed. currently, life is grand. most of that credit goes to him.

what the jury is still out on

whether or not the da vinci code movie was as good as/better than/worse than the book.

an american haunting is an awful movie. never go see it, ever.

the people who live above me make the most noise ever. it sounds like they're bowling or dragging a dead body across the floor.

intersession makes you crazy. and sleepy.

what i have learned:

i hate the constitution. i don't see it as an entertaining read.

apples to apples is a most excellent game.

every class should be consolidated into 2 weeks. that way you can give your full attention to one subject and not juggle 7.

the dorm is quite sad right about now. all of my roommate's stuff is gone, along w/ my beloved roommate. our beds are set side by side, rather blandly. the clutter of moving that once filled the hall is now dwindling. i even walked by my door tonite b/c i didn't have the DGR signs and huge faces to mark my door. yup... the fact that people are leaving is beginning to set in. sad day.

on a happier note, i'm done w/ finals!!

i think that it's b/c i'm staying for intersession, but the feeling of "aww, this is it" hasn't set in yet. my teacher wished us all a happy summer before he handed out the final this morning, and it was at this point i realized that "summer" is 3 weeks away for me. and i wish it was farther away. as stressed as i've been and as many times as i've threatened to drop out, i wish it could stay like this. it's gone too fast. i'm half way through college. half way to being a grown up. i still have to stand on my tip-toes to reach things in the closet, yet the world thinks i'm capable of making important life decisions and keeping up w/ my own personal finances.

this morning alex and i decided we've had our focus all wrong. instead of working to get out of school, we need to be working on ways to come into large sums of money, i.e.- dating old men, winning the lotto, etc. that way we'll be out of school and not have jobs to dread going to, much like the dread i feel when someone mentions "research paper" or "finals". or "b.o". i hate b.o. however, i love dgr and the amazing formal we had friday night. it was simply wonderful. i want to live in a tent on the river market and play triva games all day long and wear my formal dress. this is where that old man's money would come in handy.
