愈來愈覺得人性難明。

是看開一些好。

長期做到超強話失去信心,無奈。

好在無需求他,一於唔做!

以為跌就是垃圾?價值投資長做長有!

The story behind an amazing resort I just visited:

Six Senses for success

Friday, November 03, 2006

"Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith. I'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. You've got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle."

"If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right."

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice, heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."

"You have to trust in something--your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever--because believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart, even when it leads you off the well-worn path, and that will make all the difference."

It is so easy to forget one's own dreams. I must come up with a way to remind myself.

"He that lives well, is learned enough" - Franklin

I am more and more convinced that it is not easy to live well.

A general observation from meeting with people:

Many people like to say "I am busy" or equivalent things such as "I have no time", "I just came back from xxx and need to leave soon", "I need to work until very late at home".

It seems that many people want to be perceived as being busy all the time. They probably think that "being busy" means "being important". E.g. many people stay in the office after office hours in order to show others that they  "have things to do" and thus are important (according to their logic). I have never heard anyone saying "I am not busy" in office. Everyone wants to be busy!

Many people are really busy instead of pretending to be busy. They always have deadline to meet and they need to work all the time (in and out of office). From my observation, most of the successful people are NOT busy. They don't have deadline to meet and look relaxed. Contrary to some people's understanding, it is in fact easier to schedule an appointment with those successful people than doing the same with the norm!

Some would say that these people are not busy only after they are successful. I would say that they are successful partly because they are not busy. A person who is good at time management will not be busy all the time. He/She knows how to delegate, manage workload and deadlines etc. I think being relaxed has the following advantages:

1. More likely to identify and capture opportunities around

2. More focused on important things

3. Better mental and physical health

4. More people will contact you because they know that you are not busy

I am still busy too often. My goal is to be busy for just a few days a month. I should remind myself that when I say "I am busy", in fact I am saying "I am busy because I can't manage my time well enough". When I say "I am not busy", in fact I am saying "I am not busy and I am open to opportunities".
