Why must they torment me so?!?

As soon as i get out, they pull me back in, why, why must they do this to me?

I have been slowing down on nerd games, i've been playing them less and less to get myself ready for when i get married, cause we won't have the time or the money to spend on such ventures for a few years (most of our free time will be spent working so we can pay rent, and studying to keep our student loans defered), but out of some unknown desire, i go to the Magi Nation website just to look at the site and i see this:

Dear Magi-Nation Fans:

The licensing agreement to produce the much anticipated Magi-Nation® animated series has been finalized with a multinational studio. The studio is expected to make production and network related press releases in the near future.

If all proceeds according to plan the animated series should begin to be aired in various worldwide markets sometime between Fall 06, Spring 07 and Fall 07. In addition, we expect that the CCG will be re-launched at the time the new series is aired domestically.

Company operations, Magi-Nation® Duel expansion releases and support are suspended until the Magi-Nation® animated series is released.

We will update this notice when additional information becomes available. We appreciate fan patience and support.

This game fell away years ago, before my senior year in fact, the year that Game Times left the mall, but i have always been waiting.  This is the one nerd game i cannot say no to, even when it was going down the drain the first time, i didn't give up on it, in the top of my closet i still have all my cards and all my decks still put together.  Even though i knew they were having problesm, that year i bought 2 boxes of boosters within a month of each other and recieved another as a gift, that is 108 packs of 9 cards in a month, not including any random packs i bought (thats just about 972 cards so assuming i bought at least 2 random packs, thats about 1000 cards)  It is my one true weakness in the gaming world, it is my achilles heel....and they are re-releasing it and starting over where they left off.  I still know the names of the Regions and most of the Creatures and Magi and what they do, and im sure you can tell me the fluff on the bottom of the card and i can still tell you what card its on (sad i know, but like i said earlier, its my achilles heel).

I don't know what ciScott thinks about it or if he even knows about it, but i for one, both fear and await the day, can i show restraint or will it suck me in once again?  I know Emily will help me, but can my bank account survive?  www.magi-nation.com

Currently Listening Day of Fire By Day of Fire I am the Door see related

Wow, its been a bit of time since I updated my xanga.  Lets see, where to begin.....
Last week, the week of uhh...something in september, i had a pretty bad week.  I didn't have any motivation what so ever and i just couldn't seem to get anything done, bad idea when you are a college student.  It was a pretty bad week, but emily helped me get through it, she does a wonderful job at keeping me from going crazy.  But with the help of Emily, some middle-of-the-forest communication with God and another unmentioned act of obedience, i started feeling much better.

Today, we are getting ready to go on our wing retreat.  its going to be fun....only 2 people going know that i am bringing my full arsenal of airsoft weaponry  (they need a devious smiley).  It going to be a fun time if the weather holds up.

Now i will relay to you all the dream that spilled forth from my twisted sub concious one night.
     I was transported to an alternate dimension, via a machine that looked alot like the machine from Quantum Leap (which i haven't watched in ages).  When i appeared, i was in a nice victorian style house, which i walked around and looked at for a while.  Then i saw that there were people coming to the door.  When they came in they were wearing nothing but loin clothes and a little cloth around there chest, but it was like they were manufactured, not somthing that they fashioned themselves.  They came in and the greeted me, but they said to be careful of their littlest daughter.  i walked with them outside to the back yard and it looked like a giant, open, Africa-like savanna with tall grass, rolling hills and pine trees.  Then a mane-less lion with red eyes came up out of the grass and sat down in the grass in front of a little girl while the rest of the people lined up in ranks like soldiers.  The little girl couldn't have been more that 6, she had short blonde hair and silvery eyes.  The girl and the lion talked, and the girl stormed off.  When she had left, for no reason that i know of, i shot the lion and killed it.  When i went back into the building, they told me that the little girl was a cannibal and that she had sharp metal claws.  I asked if they had evolved beyond the point to which they could spit acid from their mouths and they said that they had not.  Then the little girl attacked me, clawing my arm with her claws and bearing sharp, parahna like teeth.  So i spit on her, and it burned her like acid, and then flung her away.  She came at me again, and kept clawing at me.  I knocked her over and then i spit on my and and slapped her on the back.  I went upstairs to find a collection of guns and i took one out as she got up to the room.  As she came in, she snarled at me and tried to leap through the air and attack me, so i had to shot her with an assault rifle.  Thats all there is.

Its time for a rant.  As some of you may or may not know, today (monday) is the first day back from spring break for us here at taylor.  And again, as some of you may or may not know, i've been having roomate problems.  Well today we hit the trifecta.  He was working on unpacking his cloths early and what does he do? He just throws them on top of the dirty clothes that he left here over spring break.  In between my 1 and 3 o'clock class, he was blaring his horrendous rap and pop music so even with my headphones buried in my ears i could still hear it.  Now im back from my 3 o'clock class and what is he doing?  HE IS SLEEPING! HE JUST GOT DONE WITH A WEEK LONG BREAK AND HE DIDN'T GET UP TILL 10, THERE SHOULD BE NO REASON FOR HIM TAKING A NAP TODAY, NONE WHAT SO EVER!  HE'S GOT HIS STINKING CLOTHES EVERYWHERE, HE'S PLAYING MUSIC SO LOUD I CAN HARDLY THINK AND HE IS MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO GET STUFF DONE!  I'M SO CLOSE TO STABBING HIS COMPUTER WITH ANYTHING THAT I CAN PUT THROUGH IT.

Okay, now that my rant is out of the way, it's time to move on to much better stuff.  Spring break was pretty good, I got to go down to the Ancestral Cabin in Tennesse, i got to use a hydraullic lift, and was fun over all.  In the period of 3 days, I had a hair cut appointment, a dentist appointment and a doctors appointment.  Most importantly however, was that i got to spend a lot of time with Emily.  I visited her on Wednesday, we went down to Brown County on Friday (even though everyone said it was going to rain, as soon as we got there the weather was just about perfect) and then ate with my parents at ABC (Atlanta Bread Company), just went driving around on saturday then up to her cousins birthday.  It was a great time.  It was a wonderful week, if only something could work out were the roomate would just stay home or something. Oh well
