Yesterday was a great day. Justin and I finally found a church that we are excited about and really want to get involved in. There are teaching the word and the word alone. It is beautiful and hard to find here. Well so we joined a small group starting this week going through the book of eph. I am stoked.

So after church, at out apartment they had a big grand opening for our pool after remodeling. We had nothing else to do and so we went and hung out all afternoon with our buddies that live in our building. So the party is ending. Justin and have left with a $25 starbucks card and a $50 mastercard gift certificate. It was wonderful.

Well we started talking to this guy named aaron that was in the pool all afternoon and he said "well it helps my hand." I didnt even notice anything until I saw several scars on his chest and arm. We proceeded to ask him what happend. He said that on Valentines day he was hanging out with his buddy who was cleaning his gun and it miss fired and shot him through the arm and through his chest and it is a miracle that he is alive. As the hollow point bullet went through his chest his heart contracted making the bullet just missed his heart. He was in tears. He said he was debating the existence of God before this happened and that now he has no doubt. He said that as he laid there waiting for help he felt like he was falling into darkness and that he felt God craddle him down and hold him. His dad is now a christian because of all of this. He said colors were so bright and life is so precious. He feels like everyday is a bonus round.

I was truely inspired and remind that we are not promised another day. That inspired to truely look at Gods life around us and treasure every moment in his presence. What a great God we serve.
