omg this is longgggg overdue. CONFIRMATION last sunday(27 April)!!! it was quite fun and over 180 of us got confirmed. i borrowed a pretty white dress from debra and i wore red heels(: oh and got my hair straightened too. i had to put on my own makeup too cos i was in a rush for time haha i think my putting on make-up skills suck. after the whole thing was over, we had a party to celebrate me being confirmed and ate yummy food.

oh before the party, we were camwhoring at home cos it was fun haha. took many stupid photos(: though i am not gonna post alot of them cos they are embarrassing.

i love 4dg! even though we never win anything, we are still super enthu and crazy(: the past 2 days have been super fun!!!

YESTERDAY
we had spirit of the class and sadly we didn't win top 3. i think its cos we didn't have much skipping included. oh wells after that we went back to class and took a gazillion photos and videos. haha i haven't mentioned that our class props are super cool: high soccer socks and gold ribbon together with our soccer jerseys<333

TODAY
sports day! rather boring so we amused ourselves by taking pics and EXTORTING MONEY FROM THE VENDING MACHINE. haha we kept banging the thing till $5.25 came out and we used it to buy food for our class(: we are such cheapos. Dg - 5th for 4 x 100. tennis - 4th for 8 x 50. but its okay we still love u guys(: after sports day our class marched around the track and doing class cheer haha super funny.

haha then we sang our class cheer all the way from toa payoh stadium to the mrt with the rgs girls giving us weird stares. we even sat on the escalators to sing haha.

then we went to seoul garden at taka and ate for 3 hours! goodness i was so bloated after that. haha then we walked around to burn of calories and found a ridiculous sale! we each bought slippers for $4 that was actually $16 and a bag for $12 that was actually $49! so crazy right haha. it was such a super fun day! love u guys in 4dg<3

i haven't blogged in ages. anyways, block tests are over finally!!! i just realised that our end years are starting on the 24th september, which means only 2 more months to study! this year passed so quickly.

racial harmony day on friday. alot of sec 3s wore saris(: i wore a maroon/purplish-reddish one. it was quite fun but really hot. at night i went for choir concert. it was really nice! and cheryl giam was sooo good.

saturday morning, singpost delivered the harry potter book to my house at 9am! i read till about 2, then i went for ballet, then church till 10. when i came home, i read till 12.50am and finally finished the book(:

sunday, best friend came over at night to have an early birthday celebration. haha ireally miss her. anyway, i think i am gonna go for ndp with her! yay!

MY BIRTHDAY IS TOMORROW!!! haha then i will finally be 15!

i miss uk!!! ahhh. i can't even go through 1 hour without thinking of the trip, except when i am sleeping of course. okay i am gonna blog about the trip now but no photos cos my daddy doesn't allow. see i am so guai cos i actually listen to my parents haha. anyway, i am trying to persuade him to let me if not my blog will be too wordy and boring.

DAY 1 (24 may)

got to the airport at 10pm which was crazy cos our flight was at 3am. my whole family came to the airport to send me off except gavin cos he fell asleep. after we checked in our luggage, we said all our final goodbyes and we went to wait outside the boarding gates. we looked like REFUGEES cos we were all sprawled across the floor either sleeping or playing games. leanne and cassi were reading twilight and new moon out loud. leanne was edward and cassi was bella. i am still obsessed over the book even though it has been so long. after a while we were reaaly tired so we fell asleep. at 2 plus we finally went in and boarded the plane. it was emirates btw.

DAY 2 (25 may)

we had to transit at dubai after 7 hours in the plane where i mostly slept. in the plane to manchester i watched music & lyrics, because i said so & princess diaries. after getting off the plane, we got on the coach and set off for castle head FC. the place was quite nice and cosy. i bunked with lydia, shu fen & karyn in room 9, code: C3678Z. dinner was okay. fish and chips with MUSHY PEAS. they were not that bad just that after a while we were kind of sick of it. desert was good - apple crumble. oh then i fell asleep at 9pm. i didn't even see dark today cos the sun sets at 9 plus and rises at 3 plus.

DAY 3 (26 may)

travelled by steamboat from coniston lake to brantwood. we had lunch and tutorial in the garden. after that we went for a walk in coniston. mrs neoh treated us to ICE-CREAM! yummy. desert today was OMG. sticky toffee pudding & butterscotch ice cream. its one of my favourite deserts there. oh there was a fire alarm in the middle of the night. while we were sleeping mrs neoh started banging on all the doors and shouting. we had to run down in our PJs and slippers and it was apparently 3 degrees. we were shivering like crazy. it turns out that something just triggered it off.

DAY 4 (27 may)

went to holker hall. the garden was so BEAUTIFUL. the flowers were all so pretty & colourful. anyway, at night the "butterflies & moths" ppl invited us to see their moths. they were so pretty, unlike the ugly and dull ones in singapore. then for their entertainment, we sand "home" & "pieces of jade and gold" for them. some of the Deans High School ppl joined us. they were quite nice and gave us jelly babies. so the next day we gave them fudge.

DAY 5 (28 may)

set off for morecambe bay. it was so tiring walking on the sands. i think we walked for nearly 2 hours. we had to wear wellies so that our feet wouldn't get wet. grace and i stepped into the quicksand part cos we thought that it was the shorter route. how stupid of us. our wellies became muddy. we went back to castle head to return the waterproofs and wellies then set off for blencathra FC. i bunked with cassi in Rm M.1.2. at night, we had a really long tutorial and it got quite confusing cos some ppl over-interpreted the poems.

DAY 6 (29 may)

went to keswick for a tour of the theatre by the lake. working in the theatre is really very hard work. all the ppl are so talented. we headed to the derwentwater lake next for our lunch. it was so cold there. my fingers were frozen and numb after we finished our sandwiches. then, we went to castlerigg stone circle. it was quite cool and the scenery was awesome. at night, we went back to the theatre to watch "around the world in 80 days". it was such a nice play to watch, but rather like a musical. the actors were really talented and can play at least 2 different instruments and they can sing too. during the interval, everyone was so tired that we just lied on each others' shoulders and slept. it was quite funny.

DAY 7 (30 may)

we were dropped at the foot of rydal mount and we had to walk all the way up. the place was so-so only. we had our lunch and tutorial in the garden. william wordsworth is such a nature-freak. all the poems that he writes are about nature. after thet, we took a long walk through a woodland to dove cottage. then went to the wordsworth museum. at night we had a tutorial by mr shrivens. he went through such depressing and emo poems that we all felt quite emo after that. lydia, cassi and i had our cup noodles in the room and we got caught by mrs neoh. we were quite freaked out cos she shouted at us really loudly. we were the unlucky group cos alot of the other groups were doing it too bu they managed to hide their evidence. we didn't even know that we weren't allowed to eat in the room.

DAY 8 (31 may)

went to visit wordsworth's birthplace at cockermouth. it was quite cool. there was a room where we could try on costumes. really fun haha.oh then i went to the kitchen and the "cook" told us a "ghost" story which i felt was more like a tragic love story. after that, we went to mirehouse. the guides were really nice and we sang "home" for them. at night we went to the theatre by the lake again to watch "who's afraid of virginia woolf" it was a litle confusing and a little inappropriate for us. the acting was really good though cos the actors could project their emotions really well. oh i forgot to mention that this play was in a studio theatre which is really cool.

DAY 9 (1 june)

left blencathra and travelled to stratford YHA. it was a 7 hour ride! and we only came down for toilet break and lunch. lydia and i came up with a new theory: we must take every free opportunity to sleep so that we won't fall asleep during tutorials and waste money. haha. i bunked with davinia, shu fen & victoria in room 26. i like the room and the chocolate vending machine. but i don't like the bed(it creaks too much) and the toilet(there wasn't any locks). oh we had to say good bye to our sweet and friendly bus driver, mr harry, and say hello to mr perrington who was okay. he had a huge earring btw. haha.

DAY 10 (2 june)

visited 3 shakespeare landmarks: his birthplace, hall's croft & nash's house. it was the same old kind of houses we've been seeing. the second part of the day was the best. SHOPPING! i bought 13 items from lots of places and spent nearly 70 pounds. but we were still kinda pissed cos the teachers took away dartford(which has 300+ shops) and replaced it with jane austen's grave and last home. we were supposed to spend one entire day there. anyway, at night, we went to watch "the seagull". there were so many love triangles and it ended tragicly. when we came back, some of us(the greedy ones) had a supper with the teachers and mr perrington. it was so yummy! bread, ham, sausage roll,bagua, strawberries, raspberries...

DAY 11 (3 june)

went to visit anne hattaway's cottage and mary arden's house. same old houses... at mary arden's house, we saw many animals. it was nearly like a farm. bulls, cows, birds, and donkies(which i patted). and also BANQUO, the really cute snowy white barn owl. it was like a fluffy cotton ball and really tame. went back for tutorial for 4 hours then had an early night. we slept at 8.30pm? but before that, shu fen and i were bullying victoria. we kicked the bottom of her bed and tickled her. haha and she kept squealing. oh and shufen's sock got stuck to the bed haha.

DAY 12 (4 june)

travelled to bath YMCA. the whole austen group slept together dormitroy style. it was quite cool but really cramped. and there were only 4 showers for all 34 of us. after dumping our luggages in the dorm, we visited the jane austen centre. after seeing the exhibitions, i felt so inspired to read all her books and watch all the films. then the teachers surprised us and let us go shopping. at first it was quite boring cos we were at the really old place. then nat sim brought us to SALVATION! alot of the same shops as stratford. i bought a top from river island for 5 pounds. so cheap. oh and bird ship dropped on LYDIA. so now she's preening goddess of bird poo. haha. tutorial at night and cassi, lydia, shufen and i presented our pylon poem. oh at night, a large group of bimbotic, loud, annoying girls were making lots of noise and dancing outside our window. cassi and i were really pissed cos we were trying to sleep so we shouted 'shut up!' to them but they didn't hear. nat sim who was in the other room did the same thing too and they finally shut up.

DAY 13 (5 june)

we had a tutorial opposite the royal crescent in the morning. the teachers let us have a break and we were having lots of fun running around the field like crazy girls haha. we played freeze & melt and what's the time mr wolf? it was so FUN. then before the tour of bath, we had 1 hour of free time and we went to CLAIRE'S again. outside the abbey, we saw quite a few hot guys & 2 cute little boys dancing(from cassi's and lydia's nameless green uniform school). phua and i think king edward's school is cooler. the guys are hotter and the uniform(black) is nicer. mr terry brought us for the tour after that and he showed us JOHNNY DEPP's house!!! it's at the circus, no. 9. he bought it for 4.5 million pounds or something. then after the tour, mrs neoh treated us to tea at the jane austen centre. english tea and bath buns. yum. after that, we went back to YMCA and did our reflections which we had to hand up. after we were done with that, lyd, cas, shuffie, vic and i went down to the bench to gossip. it was so funny haha and fun.

DAY 14 (6 june)

left bath for banbury to visit broughton castle. it was really pretty and it was the first time i saw a moat. lady saye sele brought us for a tour of the castle. mrs neoh treted us to tea again. english tea and scones(: the garden was really pretty. we went to tesco after that and i bought all my fudge and jelly babies. next we took another 2 hour ride to dorking. there was a change in plan so austen was going to stay at juniper hall for 4 days and the other groups were going to stay at tanner's hatch for 2 days then move to juniper after. some ppl were a little upset cos they said austen always gets the nicer place. but they had fun at tanner's in the end. at night austen had a really good time with ms teng. we played card games and table soccer and ate cup noodles.

DAY 15 (7 june)

visited jane austen's grave in winchester cathedral. the cathedral was quite nice. then we had lunch in the garden outside. it was HORRIBLE. there were flying beetles everywhere and some dead squished ones on the grass too. one went up jecolia's pants and we said that it was retribution for making cassi step on dog poo in the morning. after that, we travelled to chawton to visit jane austen's last home. i bought 3 of her books. i know that we can buy it cheaper here but the cover was so pretty, i couldn't resist. when we got back to juniper, we played contact rugby. as in the really violent, guy type. we didn't have a ball so we played with hui mei's shoe haha. when shakespeare and wordsworth left, austen played it again. it was so fun(:

DAY 16 (8 june)

went to london finally and got to the globe. had a tour and went to see the exhibition below. then, at lunch time, mrs fang surprised us with CHICKEN RICE and NASI LEMAK. local food! after eating, we watched othello in the globe. it was okay i guess but it was there that we experienced RACISM. a stupid fat woman complained that we were rude and making too much noise, but it wasn't even us. it was some british school below us who were groundlings. anyway, at night, mrs neoh brought us to see POC 3. i haven't watched POC 1 & 2 before so i didn't really get what was going on. but i knew that it was such a sad ending. we stayed up till 12 midnight to wish karyn happy birthday and we sang her a birthday song. i was the first one to hug her haha(:

DAY 17 (9 june)

a group of guys moved in last night. they are so ANNOYING. they walk around half-naked, stink up their whole floor with cologne, steal our sandwich stuff, and rush our breakfast. went to the globe again for a sam wannamker workshop. then in the afternoon, we watched MOV. it was such a good and funny play and we actually understood what was going on cos we did it last year. at night, we packed our luggage and did our debrief and warm fuzzies. it was so sweet & touching reading all the nice things everyone wrote about me.

DAY 18 (10 june)

had a tutorial right after breakfast, then we went to the museum of natural history. it was quite a cool place and rather interesting. nat sim went off with her aunt after that. lucky girl gets to stay in london for another week. we went straight to heathrow airport after that. we shopped for a while before our flight at 8pm.

DAY 19 (11 june)

arrived in singapore at night.

came back from uk last night! i was sooo emotional at the airport. i actually cried cos everyone was giving each other hugs and i felt so sad looking back at all the happy memories we shared in the past 18 days.

anyway i was really happy to see my family (minus sarah who is in france. lucky girl) & best friend and family! we went home and had supper (well, dinner for me cos the plane didn't provide dinner). they stayed till midnight and i talked to ilisa for ages about uk. we both agreed that the guys in uk were much hotter than those in Singapore. haha(: both of us are really missing uk alot...

after they left, i had a nice shower. then had a nice, long chat with my mun about the trip. i really love these chats cos it makes us closer. we fell asleep at 3am and guess what? i woke up at 3pm today. jet lag i guess cos it was 8am uk time. still i wasn't as bad as lydia who woke up at 5pm. sigh. everyone who went on the trip knows what a pig she is. constantly sleeping especially in the coach.

okay i will blog about the whole trip another day. i am too lazy now.
