| Ahhhhh Mission Trip was AMAZING! I love all of those people way more than I did before we left, if that's even possible. I had the best family ever. And I even gained five new brothers. Yes. Five. The worship experiences were the most uplifting I think we've ever seen. Everyone took so many pictures. It was insane. Abby estimated the number of pictures taken at like a thousand. We're just that ridiculous.
Things I'll Never Forget about Mission Trip '06:
Reading the Aladdin script on the way up there. Green Glass Doors. The all powerful Binder. Sleeping with Audrey. Our freeeeezing cold room. The McRuggs- Jerry and Nasus, Kevin, Scotty, Melissa, Victoria, Ridge, Rachel. Listening to Scotty's comedy cd's. Guessing Ridge's real name. All the insanely amazing food. "Oh, it was to die for." "You wanna get that?" "Nope." Ace, Baby, and Shorty. Or Smokey/Rusty, Jeffery Scott and Shorty. Whatever you like best. Puppy tails. Our HUGE volleyball circles. The most awful showers on the face of the planet. Telling secrets late at night, and Tara coughing at the absolutely perfect time from across the room. Going to Sonic every single day, and finding other Arborlawn vans there. Adding a C to Ridge's shirt so it said Tacos. Taking two whole days to build four steps. Tearing down a tree with our bare hands. And a saw. Buying prayer partner gifts- with my prayer partner. Sun-in hair lightener. Watching the Mavs game. The disney princess jump rope. George was in Draya's pants. George is a sheep. The tour of Draya's body. "I'm really glad I lifted my shirt up!" Painting while listening to just about every type of music imaginable. Watching Kevin dance to Miss New Booty. The Oklahoma City bombing memorial. It was the most moving thing ever. Sweet Home Alabama- my family's theme song. They know why (BAMA BAMA BAMA). The 20 questions game. Dragging all the boys' stuff out into the hallway. (well actually, i didn't really enjoy the after affects. i felt really bad about it. but at the time it was fun. haha we were "looking for an earring") Crying harder than I have in the past three or four years at the last worship service. I love all of the seniors so much. Staying in the sanctuary until two in the morning. Falling asleep on Jake's lap, then him carrying me to my room. Packing up in under 30 minutes. Being named Matt's "Number one sister". Being on the video at closing worship. Seeing all my conference friends at closing worship. The smurf shirts. Getting caught in a storm on the way home. "Please don't ever do that again... well, I suppose you could do it, but I wouldn't advise doing it in the presence of an attractive guy." The flamingo that Kimmy gave me. Kimmy's weight loss program: loose four pounds in thirty seconds. Being dubbed Napoleon by Drexel. Oh, I think they like me.
But most of all....
Coming together as one church.
Yup. It was amazing.
