lemme tell you how super rad i am and what spectacular time i'm having on my winter break.
1. today (wednesday) was the first time i've gone out since my return (saturday). i went to wal-mart. SUPER wal-mart. alone. when i got home, i stayed in my car for a good 10 mins just to listen to the conclusion of the dilemma being expressed on NPR's "Pet Talk" about a cat that played with plastic bags in Madison, Wisconsin. it was truly riveting. and pathetic.
2. 10 mins before authoring this entry, i put on a fresh new pair of black socks (not dress socks, but regular socks that are black, instead of white...thrilling isn't it? purchased on my trip to none other than corporate god--Wal-Mart). upon the engulfing of my feet into the shadows of attire, my being was seized with an urge. an urge to dance the black-socked-samba. and samba away i did. it was exhilarating. and pathetic.
(please tell me you realize i'm being sarcastic in my claims of radness.) okay, okay, though the instances recounted above are of a true nature (and slightly embellished), i'm not that lame. i've hung with a few people. organized my laptop's desktop...i thought it was fun. and i'm going to the Dallas tommorow with the darling Arab and Naughty-A. party on
i've decided to be intellectually productive this break. i'm going to read wonderful novels, any suggestions? i'm currently re-reading Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. on my list: The Namesake, The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Memoirs of Geisha (not because of the movie, i've always wanted to read it, mmmkay?)
now for the trite Xanga remarks: Finals suck, hooray for another semester done, etc etc.
there's more to be said, though i can't remember, and you don't care, so thankyou for your time (assuming you read down this far) and have a Merry Chrismahanakwanzakah. however that's spelled.
Fatima Zahir--my mistress--this entry has been dedicated to you, though there was no mention of you until now. kisses. |
