  • Turn it up I never wanna go home
I only wanna be part of your breakdown
She got caught by the four on the floor
It picked her up and she'll never get let down

And now I can't stop thinking about it
All you people at the top don't know nothing about it
We don't give a fuck what the price is
So just leave us to our own devices and we'll leave you alone

I'll be there when your heart stops beating
I'll be there when your last breath's taken away
In the dark when there's no one listening
In the times when we both get carried away
When we both get carried away

She says it all without a thought in her head
She says it all and she's pressed up against me
A little something just to take off the edge
A little more and I'll fall of the planet entirely

I'll be there when your heart stops beating
I'll be there when your last breath's taken away
In the dark when there's no one listening
In the times when we both get carried away
When we both get carried away

I'll be there when your heart stops beating
I'll be there when your last breath's taken away
In the dark when there's no one listening
In the times when we both get carried away

When we both get carried away
When we both get carried away
(I'll be there when your heart stops beating)
When we both get carried away
(In the dark when there's no one listening)
When we both get carried away

  • I am home, safe and sound.

It was an AMAZING trip,  and I am glad that I got to meet M’s mom and extended family.  It was interesting to find out that I may have a distant family member there in Erbenheim, Germany. However,  I don’t speak much German so I was a little hesitant to walk into their shop.  Maybe next time.

  • It has been five years (give or take a month) since I was last in Europe.  In four days,  i’m going back.  This trip is going to be much different from my solo adventure, last time around. I’m flying to Germany with my girlfriend to visit her relatives,  and i’ll also get to meet her mom since she is going to be there too.  It is all quite exciting!   First class from San Francisco to Los Angeles, then switching planes and flying business class to London.  From there, we’ll have seven hours to negotiate our way from Heathrow to Stansted airport so we can hop on our RyanAir flight to Frankfurt.   With the limited time we have in London,  I hope we have given ourselves enough time to comfortably get to Stansted without stressing out.

And then once we get home from Germany,  we will be getting a kitten!

    Exciting, exciting, exciting.

  • I’ve joined the Skype revolution.  Woohoo! Now I just have to figure out what i’m going to do with my new 415 number.  One potential use,  is to have the buzzer to my new apartment ring me on skype,  which is good because I can:
    a) forward it to my cell phone (and Monika’s too, I suppose…)
    b) actually be able to use our apartment let-someone-in-buzzer since they won’t forward it to a number outside the (415)….
    c) its $12 for 3 months. that is super cheap.  Plus i got free voicemail and $3 or so of credits for outbound (international?) calls that I can make…

Yesterday,  Monika and I celebrated our six-months of being together at Mangarosa,  a yummy Brazilian restaurant (with definite Italian/European influences) in North Beach.

Tomorrow,  we move in to our new place at Lombard and Polk which is a phenomenal location.  Right near the Van Ness lines,  walking distance to North Beach,  Polk Street, and Marina restaurants/bars,  not far from the Marina Safeway,  and close to a couple nice parks (one with a basketball court! woohoo!) to relax in.  Oh, and the place allows cats and dogs,  so when we return from our various trips this year,  we will likely get a kitty!

We have a ton of stuff to move this weekend. Thankfully i’m taking Monday off to recover!
