Some thoughts

What I have been through today will be one of most gruelling days in my university life. Spending an entire day on making decisions in the GMC was a real test of motivation and consistency. There have been some things that I may wished to have done a bit better, but I am glad I have been this far in the competition. I  have to settle for this and be glad of the result. This was one of the few opportunities that I took leadership of a team and tried to demonstrate that I was capable of managing this. I really have to say thank you to all my team members who happen to be also my coursemates and we have been together for almost 3.5 years. Without this, we would never have worked together in a group normally in our academic environment. (Thanks for mentioning this, Grace ! )Hope that the experience of the competition will become one of the good memories for which we have fought together as a TEAM.

Thank you Leo, for being there to help with managing the demand which was really an important task.

Thank you Ellen and Grace for helping to do most of the work with inputting data in the earlier rounds and also with some comments at the final.

Thank you Felix, for really pushing us to join the competition earlier and some observations in the final as well.

[PS: Thank you to Ex-Captain Max for guiding me through the last year, building the foundation for this year ]

Examined!

Exams : Study, Practice, Study, Practice....DONE!

A long awaited entry for this xanga of mine that will just add some new content and revive it from its dormant state.

This year has been one of the toughest years yet. Dealing with the increasing difficulty of the course, I found myself to be challenged by many things. Finally, I understand the words. In a simple summary, my mind has been filled with NPV, interest rates and derivatives. It has been interesting to see such a change from my second year which still involved a lot of mathematics.

As such, I seem not have been able to visit some of the friends and people that I have seen more in the past. FOLD! FOLD! FOLD!...is the golden word for me this year. Please forgive me if I have ignored some of you. I know most of you are in the final year and need to make the best of this year in terms of academic performance and also the future by securing a job. Most of you are still in the midst of the examinations, and some of you have yet started.

And to the others who are elsewhere, those that I have not met for ages, please do give me a ring. I know I may not have been the closest person that you have met when I was in school, but I felt that we still will have experienced various things together and have a connection.

Lastly, I just want to show my SUPPORT to everyone that are still fighting and making their efforts. Try your best !
