hi everyone. i know i've been outta the harvest loop for a bit.

but i come to you in the midst of what has turned out to be one of the hardest quarters i've had since coming to college. just everything, physically, spiritually, emotionally, financially, academically, missions, with my parents...

it has been a struggle all throughout and strangely enough, i prayed for this struggle. But now that it is here, please pray that i will stand strong in faith and conviction to run this race for Him and Him alone. pray that through this struggle i will have grown closer to him and to trust him more. and mostly, please pray for mission plans this summer to Afghanistan, that this struggle pre-mission will not be in vain of just struggling for the sake of struggling, but that it's purpose of spreading the gospel and glorifying His kingdom will be its end.

Thank you for your prayers. i don't want to make this too long.

I have faith i will be delivered, but Lord knows getting to the deliverance is the hardest part.

I'm reviving this thing. We don't have prayas club meetings as often as we'd like but that doesn't mean we have to stop praying for each other. We knew we wouldnt have the time to all meet up together, so thats why we created this site, so that we could pray for each other on our own time without having to coordinate everyone's schedules.

I think we are the closest class at Harvest. Moving off campus this year, I think all of us really had to adjust, and we haven't been able to do things as a group that much. But that doesn't mean we can't continue to grow together in Christ and through prayer. I meant what I said on Friday. I'd like to see prayer requests on here again so that I can pray for everyone of you, as well as you praying for everyone one of us. To start off:

Please pray for...

Pastor Jeff - Forming relationships and getting to know the congregation on a more personal level. That his Sunday sermons would have practical application in our lives and that we would find his messages as an encouragement and positive prodding in our spiritual walks.
Harvest - True fellowship with true accountability. None of this shallow "I'm doing okay, he's fine, everything's hunky-dory" attitude. Also, that Harvest would provide a firm foundation for the freshman; that they would find shelter at Harvest and use it as a place to seek solace away from the world, and that they would leave Friday nights recharged and equipped  to deal with the world and new experiences of college.
Me - Actually, everything is hunky-dory for me. seriously, it is! hehe. Praise the Lord that I have so little school work this quarter. Hmm, if anything just that I would continue to learn more through the Word, and that I would be diligently doing my devos every day.

Your bro in Him,
Austin

p.s.:  I know (or at least I think) that since we're such a close class, we have always been willing to share our lives with each other. But I don't want the thought of this being a 'public' site discouraging you guys from posting your prayer requests on here. So please do post often on here and use the private blog option when needed. That way, we can keep your prayer request within the class and can continue to pray for you.

sup guys,

hope yall having a great summer wherever you are. ive been her in sd the whole summer thus far and have been working fulltime (m-f, 9-5) at acs. its been real chill and im making progress towards a car, praise god for providing me with this opportunity. please pray that i continue to seek out ways to better spend my downtime, (ie reading). me, dan, eric and eddie have pretty much found a place, we'll be moving into regents court (next to doyle park) on august 10th, pending credit approval (and dan's clearance since he's an immigrant, hah). so please pray for the smooth completion of that and our living together. also its about that time where we gotta start planning for post-college so i've been doing a lot of that. since i'm planning to go to law school (and business school, concurrently or somewhere down the line), there's much to do. i've been preparing and practicing for the (tentatively october 2nd) LSAT, which is quite a scary test and hopefully will help balance out my (currently) suboptimal gpa. im also set to take 5 classes a quarter till i graduate to finish my double (man. sci / phil), so its gonna be one crazy year. i've also gotten into contact with several people regarding internships and hopefully future recs so things are starting to fall into place. please pray for continued diligence, perseverence, strength, and wisdom in my efforts and studies. of course, also lots of prayer as i continue to seek god, build relationships within the Church and prepare for the upcoming year of ministry (as a small group leader, and of course doin evangelism). so yea, lots of lil things goin on, hope to see y'all again soon, and ill be praying for all of whatever respective things you guys are up to.

peace.
andrew
