| This is a post for those who don't visit the HSD as much.
These are updates from last night and this morning:
12:45 AM, July 9th - "Gabriel has gotten a lot worse lately... He can't walk anymore, he's not drinking, and he's having trouble breathing. Renee said it's like he's shutting down; he doesn't recognize them hardly anymore. They're not sure whether or not he'll make it through the night. Pray for him... Pray for the whole family."
1:45 AM, July 9th - "It looks as if Gabriel is finally asleep (as of 1:45 AM)... Praise God! His breathing is still irregular, but it's slower and much more calm now. Pray that all of them can get some rest... They are all physically and emotionally drained. Keep praying hard..."
11:10 AM, July 9th - "Gabriel made it through the night... He's half sleeping right now, and his breathing is still irregular. He also had a fever this morning... The hospice nurse says that is a 24 to 48 hour warning. Keep praying... Pray for Mr. and Mrs. Benavidez, they didn't get a second of sleep last night."

| Sorry it has taken my so long to put up another update. Renee just PMed this to me.
The Benavidez family decided not to do the shunt surgery option. (if you remember,they had an option to go in for more surgery and fix the shunt that was inserted back in November, which would hopefully help some of the dizziness and such). It was just just too much, they couldn't put him through another ultra high stress 3 days in the hospital. so right now they are just waiting. he's progressing noticably. He's pretty much always dizzy, he stumbles when walks, his eyes are very off-balance and they roll around in his head, and a few weeks ago it was confirmed that he had a minor siezure. they watching this, if he has another one, they'll have to put him on anti-siezure medication. And he's always, always tired. he sits around alot.
Please pray for him! You have no idea what a great difference prayer makes. You prayers are much appriciated. Thank you!!

| The Benavidez family went to the doctors yesterday and Mr. and Mrs Bedavidez explained the symptoms that he's been having to the doctor.
The doctor says that 'the tumor is growing back and they have about 2 months left.
Also in November he went into the hospital to have shunt surgery (in which they inserted a shunt into his head which drains the fluid that is building up on his brain that was to keep pressure off and to keep him from getting so dizzy because fluid was building up from the tumor so there's a small plastic tube that runs from one of the veins, right under the skin on his head, to his chest cavity). The doctor believes that the tube may not be working right because he has been getting sick so much. So they may have to go to the hospital again where he will stay for a couple of days.
Please pray for the hospital trip. Last time he went into the hospital it was so miserable and stressful.
Also a group of people will be fasting and praying for Gabe tomorrow. If you have any encouragement for the Benavidez family please feel free to PM me on the HSD. My user name is Theonlyme19. I'll post it here for you. | | |
