| On not kissing actresses.I've just read the featured blog, "Kissing an Actress vs. Kissing Your Wife" and am absolutely annoyed. If someone makes the life decision to be an actor/actress, he or she is in for a lifetime of parts that require kissing. If you are in high school and you love to act [oh em gee! I totally love being on stage in front of my friends!], then turning down a role because you have to kiss someone is juvenile and annoying but honestly okay. You are not planning to make a career out of acting [if you are, good luck to you because it is not very likely you will succeed] and it is a high school production. Everyone is young, many people have never kissed anyone before, and you are not getting paid. However, if you are a paid actor in a role in a film, it is ludicrous to assume that you will be able to say, "I refuse to kiss this actress- I want my wife put in as a stand-in!" for several reasons. First and foremost, you are married. You have had your first kiss; you are in no danger of compromising your first experience with someone you don't love. [By the way, I find the idea of marrying someone you have never even kissed before repulsively irritating. A good marriage can't survive without adequate physical intimacy- how do you know you are right for someone if you've never even had a sweet peck? Ridiculous.]
Also, if you are getting PAID to do something, then do it or don't accept the role. If you know a role requires something you are uncomfortable with, either try to get it changed before accepting the role or don't accept it at all. Plain and simple. If you were offered a job and it required doing something you were actually morally opposed to doing [you get a job as a bartender and they require their bartenders to dance on tables, for example], would you accept the job? No. Acting is no different. It is just as difficult as any other career path [sometimes more so, since you probably will go on 100 auditions before landing even one role... and this is if you're talented] and like any other career path, you must choose the jobs that work for you. If you need the cash, you must deliver the goods. That's all I have to say about this subject.
Some people are absolutely ridiculous and they make me sad for the youth of today. I understand that you have your morals, but the line in regards to behavior that is simply unnecessary must be drawn somewhere.
Over and out.

| I want to be at happy hour right now, drinking pitchers of Miller Lite or some other terrible cheap beer and getting tipsy even just for a while until my meeting, then I'll go out to the bar after again and have a rocking time...
I wish I had more money in my bank account. :/ And more twenty one year old friends, and some food... maybe some french fries even though they're terrible.
The end. <3

| Hi. I just had the best weekend ever. I guess being in love has its perks. Yes, I said in love. [Gag me with a spoon- am I really so mushy?] I'm giddy. :/ Sorry.
I like your face.

| OctoberFalse Promiser, Fairytale Believer,
you took my heart away.
Empty, I ache
un(w)hole
sinful and wasteful,
tactless and tasteless. False Fake Happiness drips sugary sweet
from your lips.
[we can never go back]
Wounded lips
sting
like salt,
blood hangs like
morning dew
between us. Unforgivable,
unrecognizable, reconcilable,
tragedy in the making,
food for thought.
You promised me [PROMISED ME]
it would be okay.
But my bruised knees
are sore
falling,
falling,
downdowndown
and aching for
solace, redemption forgiveness
I am owed that much [ornothing]
who knows? God knows?
someone/somewhere/something
verb, adjective, noun
wordswords wooooords that fall deeply
like rain
and sadness
and the pit of my stomach.
What lies ahead?
Hurt, smiles, nothing?
I ache.
I need a sign
the universe collides
shatters, falls
to piecestinypieces
who is here to pick them up?
My heart, un(w)holy mess
with thoughts that
patter, like rat-feet
scurrying over
the attic floor
in the depths of night.
Is sorry
enough to believe?
Is pain the reason
to heal
slowly
falling
sadoralone
who knows? God knows? You know?
no one knows. | | |
