"Where is zahra??"

Ah.

Zahra is still alive and breathing. I promiseee. Just, this little old xanga has seemed to run its course. Lots of thoughts, people, and situations have been recorded but it just doesn't seem too practical anymore.

But.

Have no fear.

I shall update from time to time. With or without pictures. Preferably with.

So let's see. I shall recount Tuesday night for the xanga-ing world.

I got out of my 7 o' clock Stress Management class early that night and so Tony and I went to La Madeleine for dinner. Here's a picture:

Yes, I'm quite smiley here since I wouldn't be so smiley later.

So anyways. We left from UTD since he doesn't have air conditioning in his car. And I drove. We ate and were merry and then I brought him back to his car that was still parked at the conference center and we stood outside the car and talked for a bit. I then proceeded to get into the car and start it... and the car wouldn't start. I had very smartly left the headlights on.

Not having jumper cables I then had to call (whom we fondly call) Yellow Hair boy and explain the situation to him. He then came with 2 friends that I did not know to start the car.

In the meantime, I called my mom to tell her I would be a bit late home. But she didn't answer her phone. So I called home and my sister informed me that my parents were in the hospital and that they had to take my dad to the emergency room that night.

So much for Stress Management. I had a bout of crying and freaking out before regaining my composure.

My dad had appendicitis and was taken into surgery that night. He's fine now.

But it's a bit saddening to know that I cannot handle more than one stressor at a time. Silly Stress Management class has not prepared me for the real world AT ALL. Boo.

Ok, well that is all.

Please please pleaseeee drive safely. I almost got into an accident with a stupid big ol' truck with a stupid big ol' boat tied to the back of it. Not my fault but it freaked me out nonetheless. So be safe. And friendly.

much luvn,

Zahra

Ah, it's been a while. So I shall recount the last week or so. With pictures. Of course.

So, school has started. And my classes are... interesting. I learn Biology in a foreign language. Russian to be exact. I do my homework during Research design for I have no need to learn about mean, median and mode... again. My Stress Management professor is not funny and yet the entire class, minus Valene and me, finds him highly amusing. And my painting class I cannot comment upon for I have not actually painted anything yet. And my Psychology of Personality class seems interesting. That's all I really have to say about that at the moment.

Here are random pictures. With commentary from yours truly:

Jessica K's bird Tweeter. He/she is my new friend. She's not too sure of what gender Tweeter can claim. But no matter. He/she is still my friend.

I bought my Pathophysiology book for my Biological Basis class from Amazon from some guy named Antonio Go. This was his packaging. It made me smile. :P

Valene and I saw a somewhat unattractive couple being gross in the bookstore. So I took a picture... don't ask.

That was my mountain of a salad that I ate with Julie. Julie didn't have a mountain. She didn't even have a hill. Hers was more of a plain of a salad. They however forgot my bread again. But this time I caught them in the act. So they brought me my bread. Go me.

This car caused a whole lot of problems yesterday as I frantically tried to get to my Stress Management class. The driver wanted to jump the curb to get to the gas station on the other side faster. Mind you it was raining and George Bush had just been closed. So he jumped the curb and then hit another car. Being the idiot that he was, he tried to back out off the curb and did so too fast and hit another car going back over the curb. So both sides of the road were then held up. Ugh. I was 20 minutes late to class. And I had been on the road for an hour. Poo on him.

These are the rats that Adriane is rat-sitting. They smell. The end. Sorry Adriane.

Nicole loved the fan in the student union and therefore decided to try out her modeling skills. And being me, I took a picture. She's cute. :D

Aw, Manasa. I see her muchos now. Oh so happy. :D We had an adventure once. 'Twas fun. mmhmm.

Goodmorning America had this hair thingy and I found her hair adorable. I don't know if I could pull it off but I found it real pretty. Maybe I shall try. Later.

I like watching DDR-ers. I DDR'd once. Just thought I should mention that. But I like watching people who are actually good at it. Like they are. And Tony is. And this one black guy whom I see often in the Student Union DDR-ing is.

That is about all. I have nothing else of importance to report upon. When I do, I shall. Of course. Because I'm like that.

Take care loves. Drive safely. And friendly. Allways.

ooooo

I went to California Pizza Kitchen with Tony and had a smiley face something something. I forget what it was called. I was really hungry.

Well, it wasn't really called a smiley face whatever. But it looked like one. Or a heart. But I think it's more smiley face-ish than heart-ish.

He ate his pizza all proper-like. What a loser. Who does that? :P <3

That is about all. School starts in 2 daysss. I have yet to order my books. eep! need to do that sooooon.

I have many many classes with Valene (including painting!) and 1 with Julie and a common class with Julie and Adriane but I had to take a different section of that class. I will see them tomorrow to help Julie fit into her room since she hasn't yet joined the cult where she must give up her worldly possessions. But no matter. I will save the day. Tomorrow. I was a mommy today.

Drive safely loves.

So this has been the summer of spontaneous camping trips. So here are pictures:

We stopped at a Nascar-themed Burger King on our way to Colorado. But we didn't make it that far the first night. We slept at a hotel in Kansas instead.

My mom exterminated all bugs that could have possibly even come close to our hotel room... and she almost exterminated us in the process. My sister looks terrified. She had a right to be. Those bugs were ugly. As was my mom with her exterminator face. :P

The next morning we went to Denny's for breakfast. They forgot to bring the rest of my order. Just gave me my biscuit and chocolate milk and wanted me to be happy. No sir! I complained. And they brought the rest of my food.

Finally, we reached Colorado. And mountains!

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a hobo. Yes, that is indeed a man.

We finally reached Jellystone campgrounds. And stayed in Yogi's cabin 15.

We took a trail hike thingy to those rocks. And yes, I climbed to the highest point on those rocks. I'm hardcore like that.

I also saw falling water. Amazing.

We took this gravel road up some mountain and there was this biker who had ridden his bike the entire way up. Omg. I applaud his stamina. It was hard enough climbing that mountain in a car. Can't imagine how it would be like on a bike.

We're amazing campers who set up an electric grill and actually cook stuff in nature.

But no matter, we made a fire and warmed our feet by it. It reached 45 degrees that night. Gah.

Although I did not have reception there, I still had to find somewhere to charge my phone. And my dad almost died without email, phone, and the internet for the 2 days that we didn't have reception. Well, not really. But it was close I'm sure.

And then it was time to head back home. But first, we stopped at the Cave of the Winds. Not sure what that's supposed to mean. I didn't feel any winds. But that's inside the cave. It was kinda unexciting. A couple low ceilings, a couple narrow passageways, a highly unenthusiastic tour guide and endless threats of fines and jail time if you touched the cave walls. lame.

But.

I bought a shiny thingy from the cave giftshop. Shiny things make me happy.

I was going to hijack that Blue Bell truck.

Because I was bored and ate an entire box of Sunkist Fruit Smoothie fruit snacks.

And then we were hardcore again and drove straight from Colorado to Texas. Not a good idea btw. We got home at 6 am. Blah.

And this is the cheesecake I had at Abuelo's with Jessica and Tony last week. I had the cheesecake. They were just present as I ate it. Well, most of it anyways.

And this is a dress I tried on. I did not buy it though. Just tried it on. I <3'd.

And this is Julie and her food on our Studio-Movie-Grill-let's-celebrate-Julie's-birthday outing. <3

That is all I believe. Summer is almost over. School is almost coming. I am almost very stressed. But stress is no good. Or healthy. Causes problems. Trust me. The solution: Stress Management class which I will be taking in the fall. Amazing.

Oh, and I made custom boxers yesterday.

Drive safely loves.

Zahra
