The purses that we have made bigger will be $25 dollars in price.  We can still make the smaller version for $20 dollars each.  The bigger size purses took more material and time for the ladies to make.  We thank you all that have ordered so far.  You couldn't  imagine to the fullest how happy you have made the ladies.  The smile on their faces when they received their money for making the purses is priceless.

This is our Sand Beads Purse.  15 1/2 in width and 10 1/2 in height.  At present we have made only 1 in this size.

This is Woven in time in White.  We have made one in this color and size.

We made a bigger size of this.  Strands of Ivy.  18 inch in width and  11 inch  in height.  Beige  We have made only 1 in this size and color.

Four Petals Macrame Purse

 I am starting on a macrame purse!  Wow!  It is such a detailed and time consuming work of art!  I think I will just finish this for my own personal collection!  But I'd like to show you how it looks like in the making.

All these strings cut into certain length.  72 dark blue strings and 36 strings of Light Blue strings.

Tying them to the right string and right color can be confusing!  I had to undo them more than several times!!!!!!!

But it looks pretty at it takes its form.

I named this "Four Petals"

I would post it once it's done.

This is our belted Cocoon Purse. (1)

8 1/2 inch in width and 7 1/12 in height.

The color combination of this purse is black, grey, very light yellow, and ecru or off white.  You can make your own color combination and we will follow it as close as possible.  This purse is small and dainty. 

This is our Beige Color "Woven in Time"  (1)

The size of this is 12 1/2 in Width and 10 1/2 in height.  Just the right size to carry around everyday. 

  This is the purse from my last entry.  "Cream Star."  There´s only 1 order so far for this.  We will only make a certain number of each color combination or model.

Lightened to see some detail It is really dark brown.  But you can order it in other color.  Remember, we will only make limited number of any certain make or color. Purse Project

My husband and I are missionaries  to Lima, Peru.  We are working in one of the biggest district of  Lima.  And it is a poor district also.  Our people are not lazy, it´s just that they can´t do anything about their situations.  One lady, her name is Exilda has been working for two months and it´s just recently that she got paid.  She was supposed to get paid S/300.00 soles a month ($95.24/mo) .  But what they paid her was only S/250.00 ($79.37.).  She can´t complain very much because it is that or completely nothing!!!!  My heart just goes out for them.  I have been thinking and praying that God will show me how to help them make money!!!!  The purse idea came up!

The ladies will handcraft them, (the handbags that are featured are crocheted).  Whatever profit that is made will go directly to the person who made it.  The profit for one handbag that is featured is around S/32.00 soles = $10.16. That is a little more than a days work for their husbands who makes S/25 soles a day.    A lot will work for $3 - $6 dollars a day.

To help them ease their hard life has been really burning in my heart.  I just don't want to tell them, "God bless you and be filled."  I'd love to give them the means to fills their stomachs and provide a little bit more for their families. Just recently, my husband had  given money so the parents could take their very sick baby to the doctor and buy medicine.  The husband's been waiting to get paid so they could go, but in the meanwhile, the baby is getting worse and worse!!!!!  We cannot turn our back on that.  There are a lot of situations like this.

I believe it is good for them to receive money for what they have worked for.  That will help them retain their dignity and develop their character.  So, if you can promote this project to anyone, I'd appreciate it.  If someone who has a business and can buy from the Ladies, we would really appreciate it.  They are excited about it.  I have given them hope and we pray that it will catch on.
