Sweet Sorrow

I have had such a nice break from school.  I was able to spend a lot of time with my church family . . . being back in my home church for the past month has really reminded me of how much I love it there.  I love the people, I love the atmosphere, I love the leadership . . . I just love it, and I am really going to miss it.

While I am very much going to miss my church family, I am very much looking forward to going back to school (tomorrow) and being with all the people I love up there - Carrie, especially.  I love being surrounded by people who love the Lord.  I love being at a school where I can get over twenty hours of teaching straight out of the Bible every week . . . and that's not even including the hours of studying, talking, and reading done outside of class.

I hate leaving my church, but I love the fact that I'm going back to school . . . I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad, but I suppose that's irrelevant.  I ought to be content.

Annex:
It appears that I have been looking at this situation all wrong. Thanks to those of you who commented.

It's nice, though, that you feel this way about more than one place.

Hey Kevin! Were you the special "guest" person that spoke yesterday for the teens?! I'm away, so I missed it =[...if it was you, what was your message about? Have a great semester up at Word of Life! Jude 21 =]

Contentment is that happy place where you're slightly uncomfortable, but satisfied with knowing you're exactly where God wants you to be. Sometimes that can be several different locations all at once. Consider Paul who was content despite his nomadic lifestyle as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

We're all familiar with the "where two or three ar gathered in My name" verse...I think that really sums up true believer's fellowship. Take two believers add one Spirit of God and you get joy, happiness, peace, contentment....How lucky you are to have two such places.

I think it's awesome that you love both places so much. So you're really not leaving happiness behind...you're just finding it in a different place. Glad you had a great break!

Josh????  Hmmmm!  Maybe there have been more changes than I was previously aware of since I've been out of the country?

How are you, little brother?  I hope God is still using school to encourage you and challenge you and mature you and help you fall even deeper in love with HIM.  Love ya!

How's it going, Kevin?

I haven't been active on xanga for ages, but I thought that I would check up on some of you guys. That's great that you're courting. I just got back from a wedding this weekend in Colorado Springs between two of my friends where I was the best man. It was one of the best experiences in the world (next to being the groom and bride of course!) I had the opportunity to see their relationship from the beginning stages, where they decided to save the kissing until after the vows. It's such a marvelous experience in that they are no longer who they were before, they never will be again. They are now married, bound together as one flesh unto God until the end. I'm so happy that the Lord is working in your life in this respect as well.

So how's school going? I'm stationed at McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey for a little while, waiting for pilot training. That will start up in July, taking place at Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma. It'll be about two years before I'm finished. Luke is at Kuyper College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a Bible College, majoring in pre-seminary. I'm excited to see where God will take him.

I'm glad that you are growing in the Lord. If you ever want to say hi, my phone is 978-852-1135, e-mail is c06adammoran@yahoo.com.

God Bless man,

Adam Morgan
