It feels pretty creepy knowing only 19 days left. It's less than 3 weeks! I feel like there is still so many things that I need to do!

Sent the suits to the dry cleaners, clear more boxes of stuff, clear up the mess I made yesterday and also throw out unwanted boxes. Everyday I am scheduled to clear out boxes and throwing things out. So sad! Well, no people to blame but myself. Why did I collect so much junk? I also wonder!

With the good response from viewers, I again want to thank everyone for dropping by all the time to check up with new updates. The housemates are moving on as well and so I was asked to put more stuff that we wanted to get rid...

Canon X255 is the first thing to go. $50 negotiatable or best offer for it. Comes in it's original box.

TEAC 21 inch TV with remote and internal antenna. $80..

LG Washing Machine. $200 or nearest offer. There is a ittle dent on the front as from the first owner knocked it when she bought it and moving into her home. But it still work like new and no abnormalies. Make your best offer and I shall discuss it with my housemate.

Conair evaporative cooler. $200 (rrp $399). Very cooling and great for the summer. Forget about the $99 evaporative cooler, this one uses cooling fin like the car carburetor fin instead of th cheap evaporative with a piece of rotating clothes at the back. Very strong fan as well and it's really worth the penny you spend. (Of course my air conditioner is better! Wahahahhahaha... )

Last but not least, a Sanyo Micro Hi-Fi. As the features of the stereo system all can be seen on the picture below, I guess I don't need to explain no more.

Attention to Samar, is this what you're looking for? Just a mini stereo with CD player and great speakers...

Seriously thinking, I am leaving in 3 weeks time. 2 more weeks in the office and 2 days in Sydney left me just 4 more days to clear everything.

I was cleaning and clearing my closet today. And I was calculating what I got to bring back and trying to estimate the weight. I don't have alot. I am pleased with myself that I did very well trying not to collect too much. But as I clear out my closet, there is still alot of things that I need to throw out. Alot of T-shirt, jackets, jumpers and even towels. Two big bags of clothes that I am going to get rid off and there still alot in the closet. Those are all the clothes that I really want to keep and abit reluctant to throw it out.

Then next week, probably the TV set and the bed will have to be moved out. The TV set I will need to bring it to my friend's place in Hawthorn and the bed, I will have to move it out. Then I will have to sleep on the floor with a single sized matress... *sad* I am sure going to miss my big double bed!

Week after, I'll have to deliver my car, my fish and also delivering my air conditioner. Then my room will be very very empty and I'll hve to fly to Sydney to visit my never met cousin from Canada...And my last visit to the habour side city which I once adored and loved. My farewell to the beautiful city. (I still love Melbourne more!) *sad*

Honestly, I am very much looking forward to my next destination and I am very excited about it. On another note, I am going to miss Melbourne terribly. Very terribly.... Boo.. Hoo..

Time seriously fly! I could never imagine this day is coming. I could never imagine how I am going to be when the day I leave Melbourne comes. I could never imagine the day I am leaving Australia for good.

6 long years I have been here. I came here alone knowing no one. I came here with one aim.. To get my bachelor's degree... I never imagine that after 4 years of uni, I am still here. I never know that I will end up staying here for so long. I should have been home or been somewhere else long ago but I guess I made my choice and my choice is to stay.

Now I am making my choice again. And this time is to leave. Pulling the plug from work, the job that I loved. Hopefully I'll be able to refresh myself with a few months of travelling. When I will get back to work? I don't know... I really don't know..

This next few weeks, it will be all about my departure. All about me looking for a new home. All about me flying here and there. All about my challenge and also the hurdles that I need to get thru.

Seriously alot of travelling post coming up. I haven't been home for 4 years now.. Really miss home. I want to go home and visit everyone!

Birthday Reflection 2008

I have been very very busy this week. I have been busy selling my stuff and I have been busy arranging everything. From air tickets to hotels, from selling my car to preparing the road worthy certificate and from letting go of my stuff to transporting and arranging pickups. Phew! Moving is alot of work. Moving half a globe away is even more work! It's so so so much work.

The official 30 days countdown has begun. In 30 days time, there is going to be heaps and heaps of change in my life and this is going to be the largest decision I've made in my life and this is the largest move I've made in my life. I pray everyday that everything will be smooth sailing. I hope everyday that everything will be fine. I had to make sure the plan works and if it didn't work out, I made sure I have a plan B.

From the day I step out of my home, I have been planning every step so that I can reach my dream one day. I admire people out there who are able to reach and grab hold of their dream life and I also want to have one. I admire those succesful people. I admire those people who are able to make it that far. I admire the life and that gives me more desire and more push to go harder and go furthur. I hope one day everything I done will be fruitful. I have been chasing this dream of mine for so long now and I WANT IT TO HAPPEN BADLY!

I still can't believe I am leaving Australia after being here for so long. 6 years is not short. But it's not long either. I embrace the Aussie life and I embrace the culture well. I fitted myself into this country. I enjoy eating meat pies and drinking VB. I have Wheatbix for breakfast. I eat Vegemite with toast. One thing I miss is embracing the Cricket games and also Footy. I never could catch those games but I've done quite well with it. At least I understand how the game is played.

On another note, I would like to thank everyone for the birthday wishes I've got. I felt to touched with so many SMSes and also messages. I have the whole coming week packed with dinner everynight as I want to meet each and everyone before I go for good. THANKS EVERYONE! I (heart) you all!!! I had my best birthday ever! ROAR! CAR SOLD! Phew! My biggest worry and concern is now gone! PHWAR! BLOG POWER! But I lost the buyer's mobile number. Now tell me.. They will contact me again! PLEASE?! I wrote it down on a paper as I realised the number was WITHELD on my phone. I left the paper in the study room. (Ops!) and I can't find it now! OMG OMG OMG.. Teach me how.. *worried*

Now.. I was wrking out with the housemates as they want to get rid of things as well. Sofa, dining table, chairs, fridge... MORE TO GO!!!

A set of beautiful sofa 3 seater plus two single seater with the glass coffee table. Probably we'll throw in the little Ikea carpet too. And this set of sofa comes with an ottoman. Relax ma.. put the leg up high.. nice, right? Cheap cheap... Bought brand new and still very new.. no holes, no stains. Made in Malaysia furniture! $400, price negotiatable.

THEN.. the dining table set comes with the same cushion fabric as the sofa set. They're suppose to be one set. Made in Malaysia too. Good quality iron chair, comfy cushion, 4 seats and we will throw in 2 white Ikea bar stool with it for $250. If sofa + dining = $600 at a discounted rate. Again, if anyone is interested, quote a price and we can work from there!

Now then I know Malaysia do make good furnitures! I didn't appreciate all those until I come here. Stupid Ikea sofa with plain wierd cheap fabric already $300-400 for a 2 seater... Why not buy ours?

I know.. I know.. I sounded like a sales man.. Well, I still do not understand why people tell me I don't have enough "experience" doing sales! I do great sales! Trust me! Those things I advertise are all in TOP CONDITION! Personally inspected and used!

Now.. a 390 litre two door cyclic cooling fridge. I am not a fridge sales man so don't ask me what's the cyclic cooling technology is about. Westinghouse fridge, 2 years old and looks like new, works like new.. sells like new.. $250 is the price tag with brand new about $450.

To those "si lai" or aunties or ladies.. or chef.. or kitchen lover, a 5.5litre slow cooker is good for making soup, making porridge or whatever you want to put in there. Stainless steel outside, ceramic inside. Big enough to cook for a football team. Make an offer and we'll let it go home with you if the price is right.

Days are seriously counting down. It's about 30 days more and my days in Australia are up. I am going away. I am leaving for good. I am sad.

I spent the whole weekend cleaning al my stuff. I can't believe I have so many things to clear out and so many things to sell and so many things to give out! I have tried very hard all the while to not collect so much. I only buy the things i really need and I only buy the things that I really want. BUT I STILL HAVE SO MUCH JUNK!

Can't believe my eyes when I look at all the things I wanted to give out and donate out. Brought two big bags of those decorations and toys to Vinnies yesterday and I still have much more to give out and to sell.

For people in Melbourne:

First thing first, I need to sell my car. Holden Barina 1.2 litre, manual transmission. Comes with alloy wheels, tinted glass, remote central locking, CD/MP3 player with iPod ready, 6 speakers Sony Explode system and loads more. Bought is for AU$550, selling for $250

Then this one I think appeals more to the ladies here... Osim uZap. Zap away the fat and slim down the tummy. I am lazy to use it and so it stays in the bag all the time. Only used several times since I got it. And I don't use it for my six packs but I use it to vibrate on my back when I have back sore and waist pain after sitting the whole day on the office chair. Now I have a slim back! All zapped away! Wahahahahhaha... zap zap here, zap zap there, then slim lor! Six packs tummy like me! AU$299 rrp, selling for $100 or nearest offer!

Same goes to this skateboard. I'll throw in a few bottles and cans of Coke.. not normal Coke but those collector bottle and cans. Mini Coke, fat mini Coke, Arabic Coke and limited edition Cokes.

B-U-S-Y

I guess the footprint to my blog has decreased. This few weeks I have been so busy with work. So busy with life. I am also very stressed + excited + worried + happy for the move I am going to make. It's a big decision and I felt so stressed out because of it.

For the last two weeks, I lost time sleeping. I can't sleep and only got abit better last few days. I caught up with sleep over the weekend. Then this week, more work poured in but luckily I cope with it better and I get to sleep. The funny thing is, I get to sleep but I get to dream alot too! Argh!

Last night I dreamt all about work. About how busy I am and how much stuff I need to do. Then towards the morning, I dreamt about the move and I felt worry even in my sleep. OMG.. is this a good thing? Or a bad indication? *calm down* *breath in* *breath out* OK.. Pat shouldn't be so supersticious! Everything is all good.. No worries..

Anyway, I shall come back with better post soon. I promise... more cooking + more travel = more blog! Cheers!

Easier than I thought...

This week has not been the best week I had, for sure! I didn't have enough sleep.. I am stressing out myself.. I got too hyped up with the relocation and I am so busy doing my research... A research on my next destination...

At some point, I am so happy to move but a little voice in my telling me to stay. I have been living here and enjoying every single day of my life without worries here. I have my car and I have my bed and I have a stable job with a good income. Melbourne is a beautiful city and although the weather can be a little wild at some stage, I know I am going to miss this place.. TERRIBLY!

The counting down has begun and I am planning every single possible way to get things done and get things to fall into place. I am still waiting for confirmation from the new work place. I am still planning on my travel arrangements and I am looking at the least possible damage to my pocket too.

Things would be so much easier if I move to some place I am familier with. Things would be much easier if I have someone there. But I guess this time, I am making it BIG and I am very sure this change will be a positive one. I am going to make sure that this change will bring me to where I want and what I want. I am going to make damn sure that this change is what I want.

I guess relocation is never easy. Remember 6 years back when I move here with only 18kg of luggage. I might have to ship one whole container if I were to move everything from here to there. Cost a bomb! I have to get rid of alot of things. My uni notes, my CDs and many papers and craps are going into the bin. My things alot will be given out and there will be alot of junk generated. My car? the air conditioning unit? Argh! It's not just about packing my bags and go.. Not as easy as I initially thought!

The move has been sooner than I thought it would be. Sooner than I planned... But I guess they all happen for a good cause! All I hope now is once I got the confirmation to go, I can start doing everything and shall see some progress over there. And maybe my blog next few weeks will be about my departure? Who knows? *Fingers crossed*

Not to forget, a final one day trip to Sydney next month! I hope I don't have to miss and cancel that trip! More updates to come over the week.. Many friends was shocked about what I am doing and family has been supportive towards it. Maybe it's another good change for me? Maybe it's a positive change for me? Maybe? No.. too much maybe...

I have moved here from Kuala Lumpur 6 years ago. I moved to Kuala Lumpur 8 years ago. Now I am moving again..

A bunch of friends are moving to Abu Dhabi later in the month from Malaysia. June relocated from Penang to Singapore to Sheffield in UK... Another friend is relocating back to Sydney from the Middle East. Tak and TSL relocated to Sydney last year and Ferl and Chris moved to Perth last July. LLY moved to Qatar and one friend is relocating from Cardiff to Birmingham. Ed is planning to relocate from Christchurch back home and a friend just got married to a Korean-American and now live in Los Angeles.

Why do people move? Why do we have to move so far away from our own comfort zone?

I guess in search of a greener pasture in life... Now then I realise.. Sometime, the moon overseas are really bigger and rounder!

Next Destination

I think I have insomia. I've been having sleepless nights for the past few days and if it continues like that, I think I'm going to fall sick. I think this is caused by the heater and also the weather. Or maybe it's the season? I don't know. Maybe Dr. Siew can enlighten me with some medical advise?

Well, I am in this big dilemma. I guess it's the next move that I need to make. I have always mention that I am leaving Australia. That's part of the reason that I travelled to so many Australian cities and places for the last one year. In my 2008 New Year's resolution, my top resolution is to move on and carry on with my life, outside Australia. Singapore, UK, USA, UAE has all been playing in my mind for a long long time. I have been telling people that the next time I leave Australia, it will be for good. I guess I made my point...

Not everyday we are showered with opportunity and not everyday we get some good deals. I have decided to take up the opportunity that has been offered to me and I guess I better start counting down the days left in Australia. Some of the people may have speculated where I will be in the next few months time and from there, I hope I can not just advance in my career, but also advance in everything I do. Who knows I might stay there permanently? Who knows one day I will decide to move again? But I am praying hard that I won't have to do this, ever again! I am hoping that one day I will achieve my dream.

As I countdown my days left here in Melbourne Australia, there is alot of things that start floating and flash thru my mind.. Happy and sad memories, seriously I will miss Melbourne. It's a place which offered me an extraordinary 6 best years of my life. Although there is some down point and there is some highs, this place has won my heart and I shall say, I am as proud as a real dinki-di Aussie...

I shall not be revealing where I will be at the next couple of months time but I will be thousands of mile away... For the mean time, Melbourne shall still be my home...
