Prelude to Love
I can not foretell the future, or what life has in store.
I can not hold back feelings, which I sometimes wish to ignore.
I can not predict my life will end, with me right by your side.
But there are a few things I can promise you, here it goes, I’m going to try…
To be the one who’s there for you when your soul has had enough,
And be the one who gives you their heart, and sticks by when times get rough.
Take every ounce of the love you give, and give you all of mine.
Live each day as if it’s my last, hoping you’ll be there by my side.
Because you’ve brought me here, and changed my life and there’s nothing I wouldn’t do,
To prove to you the things I’ve dreamt, all involve my life with you.
I can promise you my heart and every beat that it may take,
No matter what may happen along this road or whatever mistakes we make.
I can promise you that what I’m feeling, isn’t just something mediocre or untrue,
You’ve given me feelings I’ve never felt before and a reason for everything I do.

For this beautiful miracle I was given, one that I’ll have forever.
Not only have you shown me that true love is real.
But you helped me to add together all the feelings I feel.

All that I know is that I am thankful for where I’m at.
Because I was afraid to look forward, but now I wouldn’t even think of looking back.
There is no past to me, just a “day before you”.
I’m not afraid to admit, that I’ll walk down the aisle with you.
So just to remind you incase you forgot.
Love is just a word, nothing to compare to what we got.
You have my heart forever; my heart is set on you.
For you I’ll endure anything, to make our wish come true.
It’s only 7 more years and then forever after that.
Just know that somewhere down the road.
You can look to your side, and that’s where I’ll be at.
My hands close together, my knees hit the floor, in fear that He can’t hear me anymore. My eyes they close, my mind is full, I pray to stop being so fast and resentful. I had gone so long, without a single thankful prayer, just for help or guidance and that isn’t fair. It seems I don’t ever think too deep, it’s always just assumptions and dreams in my sleep. But if there’s one thing that is constantly on my mind, it’s his plan for me and what I am supposed to find. One of those things I hope to find along this road in my life is to put my heart into this man and to one day become his wife. So I want to thank you God for bringing him here, and helping me to realize that with him I don’t have to fear. Because in his eyes I see a light, that shines to help me believe, and helps me to recognize all the good things he sees inside of me. His heart I can feel when I put my head to his chest, and hearing it beat let’s me know he loves me with all his best. His hands hold me safe when the world is unkind, all he has to do is grab hold of me and there’s the safety I soon will find. There are so many things I see inside of him, I don’t think he realizes how much I’m in love with him. It’s to the point where I would do anything to keep him here, because loosing him is one of my biggest fears. Sometimes it doesn’t hit me how hard I affect his life, the things I say and the things I do and even how hard I try. We have our disagreements but we stick through when times get tough, sometimes I wish I would try a little harder when the times are the most rough. I hope one day he knows how special he’ll always be, because I can’t picture my life without him here with me. So once again I’m thanking you for all you have given to me, because believe it or not this is the happiest I’ve been and I hope one day he can see. You blessed him into my life, without me knowing it was even there, and you brought him here to help me through my toughest times I couldn’t bear. So far on this road we’re on, we’ve had our struggles and our highs, and hopefully at the end you’ll make it so we don’t have to exchange goodbyes. Because I want to spend the rest of my life learning new things together, and hopefully I’ll one day realize the love we have will last forever. I’m sorry that sometimes it’s hard for me to attempt to explain the way I feel, I’m just happy that for once I have a love that is more than real. I’ll never love another the way I’m loving him, he’s everything I could ask for and I’m asking that your plans keep me with him. This is my last thank you for keeping a smile in my heart, because the way I see it I don’t think we will ever be apart.
