been a while...

alright so i haven't touched this thing in ages and a LOT has happened...

the house is finally done and have been living here for a couple months now...love having a home. still gotta clean up some stuff and get things like more furniture and curtains, but it's definitely feeling like home.

mmmm...kitchen.

i also finally broke down and got a car...a 2008 mazda3 hatchback:

absolutely love it...especially that i don't have to take my bike apart to fit it in the back.

on the biking note...i did the MS150 ride. went mostly well, but on the second day, i decided to take the "challenge" route through the really hilly park. one of the last hills was really steep and i hit about 40 mph going down it...then suddenly my front end started shaking and before i knew it, i ATE IT...BAD. not sure how, but i managed to not break any bones and my bike also survived. the medics patched me up and i finished all bandaged up:

i was out of commission as far as my bike goes for a couple weeks after that. then last week i finally got back and did a mountain biking race (actually i guess i did one in march too). the first race (my first EVER) i got 7th out of 12 in my age group (half marathon length, 19-29) and the second race i got 10th out of 15 (beginner 19-29)...overall not bad and NOT DEAD LAST! can't wait til the next race, but that's in august...

and last but not least...I GOT INTO LAW SCHOOL! after being on the waiting list for 4 months...so i'm starting part time on june 2 at the university of houston...JD class of 2012 or something. also going to be working full time throughout...oh joy. i'm just glad i don't have to retake the LSAT...

ok that's about it...i think. best friend from high school got married...feeling a tad old now. other best friend from high school may be moving to houston though. so all in all, life is good.

hmm...eh, i guess it couldn't hurt to write an entry...

at the moment i'm a tad sick (roommate has pneumonia), so i'm feeling kinda tired and a bit off, but not too bad i guess. it's really not helping my already low level of motivation...

on the brightside, the new house is ALMOST DONE! they're supposed to be delivering by next wed, so with any luck next week i'll be out of this shithole and into the nice shiny new place:

can't wait can't wait! it's hard to believe i bought the place like 4 months ago and they're still not done...sigh. hopefully the wait won't be for much longer.

in other news, i'm on my bikeshop's mountain biking team now, so it looks like i'll be doing at least a few races this year...with any luck i won't die or come in absolute last. it'll be nice to at least go to these things with some people that i know.

let's see...gonna meet someone for coffee this weekend...hopefully i'll like him and vice versa, but we'll see. supposed to have some other fun stuff this weekend too so if that all pans out, i should have a good weekend.

oh yeah, i got waitlisted for law school early admission...i'm actually wondering if i want to do law school this year...kinda would like another year of having some form of a life before that all disappears. oh well, guess i just have to wait to find out, but it wouldn't be the end of the world this time if i don't get in this year.

that's about it i guess.
