| Hey everyone! After a LONG hiatus from xanga, I finally have something noteworthy to post:
I'M ENGAGED!
It's true, after 3 1/2 years of dating, we made it official last
night. So it was a pretty happy bithday for Stefan and a very
exciting night for both of us. Special thanks to Dishon and James
who did some of the leg work to create the surprise and the romantic
setup. It was perfect.

| Wow, the year is quickly slipping away. Only 3 more days of class (2 for you non-engineers) and a week of finals after that. Although my time in college is not quite done, next year will definitely be different. Many of the people I've known for 4 years will be gone, and I'll be in the no man's land between undergrad and grad school that is the BS/MS program. So for those of you who are underclassmen, I'll still be around for the most part. This year, more than most I feel like I'm ignoring the fact that some important goodbyes are coming very soon. Hopefully it will be the end of a season and not the end of those friendships. For those moving on to bigger and better things, I wish you well, and I'm sure I'll realize how much I took you for granted once you're gone. |

| Happy 3 years Stefan!!! I don't have the words, so that's all I'm going to say. |

| funny experience today while walking on campus:
Me: Why are you smiling? Stefan: I was just thinking about this one episode of X-men where they were on this Mutant planet and they lost all of their Mutant powers....
Just when you think you know someone, you find out you've barely scratched the surface |

| Stefan decided he's going to stay in St. Louis next year I was thinking yesterday that all of the time and energy spent investigating other options and worrying about the distance was for nothing--but I'm not so sure it was. I think maybe going through that gave both of us more confidence that this is the right decision, and thinking about him moving away definitely makes me more appreciative of him being here. Sometimes you don't see the reason for things until you're on the other side. Now we're just praying for a job... |
