| So, here we are again. Back at xanga with the tri-monthly update. Things are going great. Leslie is still at school however COMPLETLY busy with school work. I am living at my granddads farm living in VA. Working on the farm like a good ol boy again. Its been awesome. Hiking two hours a day, ice fishin, catchn some turtles...AWESOME. we are 4 months, 5 days, and 22 hours away from being married !! Crazy to think about, but so cool to see how the Lord has been workin in our lives recently! Hope all is well with you all. | | |
| Apparently XANGA is out, and facebook is IN....Apparently I am not good at any of these things in the first place. Does anyone XANGA anymore? | | |
| Thank you all for your prayers! Sorry I haven't individually responded back to your posts. However, please know that it is so encouraging tto know that you are praying. We received incredible news, yesterday. Initially we were told that Dad's tumor was inoperable. However, a week ago a surgeon said he thought he could do it. Finally, after many a test, we received word that it is operable!!! Chemo was not an option; it is ineffective with this kind of cancer. Thus, removal is really the only form of "cure" (for lack of a better word). January 18th, 2007 is the date of surgery. It will be quite the task, however, from what I understand, Dad has some of the best surgeon's in the country working with him. I have never been so thankful for doctors before! All I can say is "Thank You, Lord!" May His name be glorified throughout this trial! I'm excited to celebrate the birth of the One who brings eternal hope to this world!! | | |
| This season of thanksgivingWow! I hope and pray all of you, as family and friends, had a wonderful Thanksgiving. This holiday was extremely special for us. For those of you who might not have heard, my dad was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer about two weeks ago. The Body of Christ has surrounded us...we're all overwhelmed with the love and support provided. Dad is just trusting the Lord and praying that He'd be glorified through it all. He and my mom have led us, their daughters, by example. Robby has been extremely supportive and encouraging during this time. Oh, and Nicole Garland, one of my best friends and room-mate, has been INCREDIBLE! I praise the Lord for these loved ones and the countless others who have called, prayed, emailed, etc. Thank you all. The Lord is so good, and He continues to shower us with His love and countless blessings. I am so thankful for both my physical family and the family of God! Please pray for our family. Dad has an oncologist appointment at MAYO clinic in Jacksonville November 29th. It is in this appointment, we believe, we will receive his prognosis. It is incredible to remember that all of the ways of the Lord are in KINDNESS. He is good and faithful. We are HIS children, and He holds us in HIS hands. Each day He is unfolding His PERFECT and ORDAINED will for our lives. In a sense, we can still look to the future with GREAT EXPECTATIONS! | | |
