Fuck that
shit. Here's a few I've watched recently. Don't expect shit that's out
in theaters currently, because, well, I'm cheap and I'm not paying $7
for something I can just download for free once someone pirates it. Har
har.

Also, rating something 'humanistic' with numbers is retarded. So I'll
either give it a "Watch It" or a "Don't Watch It". Simple binary
choice. For some special flicks I might write "Watch Again and Again
Until Your Eyes Bleed".

1. City of God (Watch It):
Genre: Drama
Well, shit. I know, this one is kind of old and whatnot, but its
worth mentioning that it's very well done and, I don't know... it's
gritty and exposes some of the crazy shit that goes down in South
America from time to time.

2. White Chicks (Don't Watch It):
Genre: Feces
This most recent Wayans Bros. excrement managed to repulse me within 30
minutes. However, I have a high pain threshold. The Inquisition could
have used this instead of the rack to extract confessions from
atheists, pagans, and Jews back in the day.

3. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Watch It):
Genre: Fantasy, Pedophilia
Better than the other Potter flicks, I would only recommend it to
someone that actually likes fantasy and shit. I have issues with time
travel, but the plot handles this well.

4. Alien vs. Predator (Don't Watch It)
Genre: "Science"-fiction
Hollywood continues to crap all over the most promising franchise in
the history of movies. Seriously, so yourself a favor, pick up the
Alien and Aliens new DVDs and ignore all the other movies. Well, 3
wasn't bad, it just killed off to many cool characters.

5. The Corporation (Watch It)
Genre: Documentary
Watch it so that you can appreciate the sentiment of liberal rhetoric,
and then proceed to think critically about the issues. Corporatism is a
great thing, but the instution as currently conceived makes for a
rotten global picture.

6. Collateral (Watch It)
Genre: Pirates and Ninjas
Tom Cruise manages to be a fairly effective assassin in this movie that
is about more than just about shooting people in the forehead. However,
the real star is the Black Dude which totally pwns as a
ninja-in-training.

7. Shaun of the Dead (Watch it Over and Over Again Until Your Eyes Bleed)
Genre: Comedy with a hint of horror. Tasty!
Like its inspiration, Romero's Night of the Living Dead, this movie
strikes at the vapid menaninless of a consumeristic and pointless
existance. If you don't have something that makes you wake up in the
morning and motivates you to make a difference in the world, then
you're already dead fucker! And that's when I put a cricket bat to your
skull.

As for things I plan to watch sometime soon with any luck:
Open Water
The Incredibles
The Dreamers
Thirteen

Also,

www.ruthlessreviews.com

Best Movie Review Site EVER, EVER, EVER

These assholes are almost always right, and when they happen to be
wrong they can still dent your appreciation of a movie with a
scathingly cynical review. Furthermore, they review a bunch of small
release and independent flicks, which means they've sampled a wider
pallate of the cinematic spectrum.
Wednesday, November 24, 2004

I've restarted writing in this piece of crap because now Maurizio and
Andre are into it... joy. So I guess I'm posting an entry to entertain
them or something. At any rate, I can't believe how much I bitched
about Bio exams back in the day. Now, if I break the mean, I am
ecstatic. Fucking biochemistry. Seriously, who gives a shit if I can
memorize the TCA cycle? (I can, of course, I'm just wondering who gives
a shit...)

A year and a half brings perspective, I suppose. You can pretty much
disregard my last entry, since it hardly applies. It was about the war
on Iraq. Since then one of my
friends has gone to that hellhole, and come back. Praise Jesus
almighty. (Sarcasm for those who don't recognize it.) No actually...
fuck Jesus. And fuck Allah. And fuck Vishnu and Thor and The Earth
Goddess Gaia. Fuck em HARD. Uh oh! I guess now I have Fatwa against me!
Oh well, so it goes. At least I'm not a gigantic symbol of American
Economic Dominance. my point is, this war isn't just about oil,
profits, getting revenge for Daddy, and giving that dictatorial
fucktard some shit. It's about religion. And whether or not you believe
in god(s), religion is bad, period. Religion = control.

OK, by now I MUST have pissed some of you off. Excellent. That's what I
do. If not: I fucked your Mom. How's that? You pissed now? No? OK then,
I fucked your Dad. HA! Now you're pissed!

Anyhow, enough of juvenile vulgar humor. Althought I'd like to point
out that there's nothing wrong with it, even Benjamin Franklin (yeah,
that Benjamin Franklin) wrote a book called "Fart Proudly". Dude, not
even *I* fart proudly. But I'm fat so they get blamed on me anyhow.

What else is there? Oh yeah: I have Half-Life 2, which I bought from
Steam suing my schools ultra-supah-dupah fast internet connection, and
yes, ladies and gentlemen, it does own. It owns hard. It owns ninjas
and pirates and without even trying. Muskets? Katanas? Fuck that:
crowbar.

I'll change the layout of this site soon. It looks like some large
carnivore shat it out of it's anus after digesting the proteins which
eventually had to pass through the Urea cycle in which PLP is the
prosthetic group on the aminotransferases... ARGH damn you biochem,
damn you to hell!

Tuesday, March 04, 2003

Well, my latest bio exam went well (I think). Now I have to study for my Political Science exam. Joy.

Before I start whnning again, I'm gonna talk about something important. For those that care.

The topic today is: the war on Iraq.

Personally I think that this needs to happen. I'm not saying that the Bush administration doesn't have ulterior motives for pushing for war, but to call it a war for oil is a little bit silly.

Saddam is a menace. He is a sadist. He is a corrupt, controlling (and to use a Bushism: EVIL) man. Apparently no one remembers the gas attack on the Kurds, which Saddam did to test out his chemical weapons, which he would too happily point at the US.

Furthermore, go up to anyone protesting the war and ask "What's another solution?" and they will look at you with a stupid-ass expression and mumble something about not really being sure.

So these idiots don;t advocate war, but they can't propose another solution? FUCK THAT.

I have a friend who is army reserve. It is possible (albeit unlikely) that he may get sent to Iraq to KILL people. It's worrisome yes, but I understand that what he is doing is not only for the good of the United States, but also for the good of the free world and the Status Quo. So I cannot oppose this war even though there is a chance (no matter how small) that a friend of mine is putting himself in the line of fire.

Yes, I know it's easy to say that when it's not me going out there. I KNOW it can sound hypocritical... but the truth is that the destruction of that fucking regime in Iraq will benefit us all, and we will show the Arab world that WE ARE NOT FUCKING AROUND. WE WILL FUCKING KILL YOU.

Sincerely,
Jorge

Monday, March 03, 2003

Well, it's been awhile since I last updated this thing, but here are my psychology test results for those who are interested.

Chemistry: B-, just barely managed to do OK.

Calculus: B, I did very nicely on my final. And hey! No calculator!

Biology: A-, I'm so ashamed. I should have gotten an A. Crap. Crap and a half. I´ll do better next semester.

Now... if only Chavez would die or something... could rest easy then.

Thursday, December 19, 2002

Well, I haven't updated because I've been damn busy... probably like the rest of you. I just took my Biology final today, it went OK I guess, but tomorrow is my nightmare: chemistry.

At any rate, enough about me and my pathetic suffering. Its time we discuss Venezuela.
1. Chavez is a douche bag. We all know this, no need to reiterate this point.
2. The people of Venezuela are amazing. Not me, I haven't done jack shit except whine about math and chem. No, I'm a little shithead compared to those brave souls that march in the face of oppresion. And its not just the 'minority' as Chavez still deigns to call it. No, its the whole freaking country: white, black, brown, green... colors don't fucking matter because we are gonna get this douche bag for all he's done!

Enough about that. I still haven't seen The Two Towers, and it IS driving me a little spastic...

I don't mind though. I'll be in Caracas the 21st with my family after 6 months of absence. I think that'll cheer me up.

Happy Holidays to everyone! :D

Tuesday, December 03, 2002

Sorry, I haven't updated this damn site that no one reads anyway. At any rate I had a chem exam today... I did pretty well on it (I think) but only because it was easier than I expected. I'll be happy if I got at least a B on it. Although now my cousins have put doubt into my mind about the validity of a B. They told me this saying "You pay your fee you get your B."

Does that mean that a C (supposedly average) is subpar now? I guess it is. As the population of a system increases (educational), the individuals (students) will struggle (suffer) and only the best will survive (pass). What this accomplishes is still beyond me... specially when someone as retarded as JLo can make more money tha someone so utterly awesome like Stephen Hawkings or someone along those lines.

Anyhow... I'm started to get psyched over finals (arrrrgh) and TTT (why can't it be out tomorrow???) but anyways... time and patience.

I'll update the Quote of the Day some time soon.

Wednesday, November 20, 2002

I think it's time for a happy weblog entry: well her it goes.
"Out of all of the sects in the world, we notice an uncanny coincidence: the overwhelming majority just happen to choose the one that their parents belong to. Not the sect that has the best evidence in its favour, the best miracles, the best moral code, the best cathedral, the best stained glass, the best music: when it comes to choosing from the smorgasbord of available religions, their potential virtues seem to count for nothing, compared to the matter of heredity. This is an unmistakable fact; nobody could seriously deny it. Yet people with full knowledge of the arbitrary nature of this heredity, somehow manage to go on believing in their religion, often with such fanaticism that they are prepared to murder people who follow a different one."

Monday, November 18, 2002

Right now I feel like the young man to your left. I didn't kick as much ass as I thought I did in my last Bio exam, and this has dropped my grade to an A-. Furthermore, recently I failed a sanity check and I have lost even more grip with reality. Frankly I feel like tossing someone out my window. If only our windows didn't have screens...

Anyway, if you have the time drop me a pity e-mail, I would surely appreciate it. Remember: Bio is what I was born for and if I do badly at it, it means I was born for nothing and the world would be better without me. Just one more piece of all-signing, all-dancing crap of the world at your service.

Have a bad day.
