I've been doing my of my blogging on my other blog. Hop on over, if you're interested!

You know, this happens to me every year. I work and work and work during the school year, and get thisclose to burn-out, and then, blissfully...school gets out, and I have summer break. But then, over summer break I lose my mind. It's SO weird. This is the third year in a row now that I've gotten *weird* over summer break. It's like, without my routine, I just go a little crazy! ROFL

Today we had big plans to get Shannon's room all ready to paint. Eh, not so much. We've pulled *just enough* stuff out of her room, and into the dining room that two rooms are totally devastated, but her bedroom is nowhere ready for painting yet...but I've lost my oomph. Not sure I really had it to begin with! LOL This is what I'm talking about. Meh.

Hopefully tomorrow will be nice weather, and we can get up, get some work done, and then hang out by the pool. Now THAT sounds nice.

Patrick and I spent about 4 hours talking things out, and we're OK now.  Good thing we only fight about once every 7 years...I can't handle it any closer together.  Thanks for thinking good thoughts for us.

Calvin just turned 10 weeks old, so I took a new comparison picture.  Here he is at 8 and 10 weeks old.

Shan's having a fun day today...her friend Maddie is spending the day with us.  They just got back from a month-long vacation, and have MISSED each other.  Maddie's mom had to go back to work today, so we offered to have Maddie spend the day here so she and Shan could "catch up."  They've spent the morning building a *dragon habitat,* and are currently upstairs eating their lunch of *roasted goat*...aka Lunchables.  Goofy girls.

I hope everybody had a nice Independence Day.  Mine was...um...pretty shit-tastic.  First thing in the morning, Patrick and I had probably THE BIGGEST fight of our entire marriage.  It was awful.  My heart was just broken.  I had promised Shannon that I would take her to the steam engine parade, so I did.  But my heart just wasn't in it though.  (She had a great time, though.)  Patrick had to work.

Patrick got home last night, and we had dinner together and then set off our fireworks.  Then a HUGE thunderstorm came through, so we came in and just farted around.  We put Shan to bed, and then P and I talked for a bit.  I'm still just incredibly sad.  My chest hurts, and my eyes are swollen (from crying).  We're working through the issues...but damn, I'm just so sad.

I know it's a dumb thing to say...but P and I are just not good fighters.  We never fight, and even when we disagree, it's not that bad.  But this was a fight, and a bad one at that.  Maybe I'm in shock or something.  I dunno.
