To those who wonder. . .

I have been hiding out in a hole these last 7 weeks - a music theory hole. I have emerged, dazed and disillusioned. I have completed Harmony I and am still waiting for the test results on Harmony II. If I survived, so can you.

Spring break has been exciting - I came down with a terrible sore throat AND allergies at the same time. <sigh> Otherwise, I am supplied with all a person could want; a wonderful grand piano, wireless internet, a fun sister and brother-in-law, movies to watch, places to shop. . . need I say more?

I hope everyone else is having as much fun as I am <minus the sore throat>.

PARALLEL 5ths, DOUBLED LEADING TONES, AND AUGMENTED SECONDS ARE VERY REAL HORRORS IN THEORY CLASS

I am currently going through Harmony One. I never thought music could be so frustrating, intriguing, and exhausting at the same time. You should try it sometime.

The Migration

DISCLAIMER: I will not take responsibility for any of the painful memories that might (or might not) be fostered by the following images - for all of you who were on the Romania Team, Spring of 2006 (or if your name is Aaron).

Some of you will remember the migration of the books. I am happy to report that they have migrated again. The following is the order of migration.

First, we set out with unwaivering determination. . .

step2 - we gathered our resources for the mammoth job ahead of us. . .

step3 - gather the books

step4 - carry them to the transporters

step5 - transport them to the 'Flinger'

step6 - fling them out the window

step7 - either duck, or catch them and stack (we did both)

step8 - drive the migratory books to opposite side of town
(no picture available)

step9 - clean the junk out of the books' prospective resting place
(no picture available)

step10 - cart the books down a long hallway, turn left, then turn right
(no pa)

step11 - stack the books on wobbly shelves
(no pa)

Thus ends the migration of the hapless books.

(for those who know our family - Joy's absence in these pictures doesn't mean that she was lazy or sick. . . but that she was faithfully recording this event by camera)

WHERE IS THE SNOW?

I had a wonderful vacation with my family in Romania. Everything was perfect - except there was no snow. That was one of the top five things I was looking forward to going home. Now would you know it, as soon as I leave Romania, it's snows buckets in the mountains. I thought to myself, 'That's ok, because it snows in Indy.' But what do I find as soon as I arrive at school? NO SNOW!

That's ok - who said life was fair.
