The past month has been an eventful one. Been catching up on my cinema outings and fine-tuning my spins and footwork. Also been catching more theater performances in between the traveling I've been doing. Took a weekend up in Fraser's to refresh and relax. No computers, not much salsa....just a bunch of friends, board games, tv, books, and not to mention the drinking. Good to just take a weekend away and do absolutely nothing but play.
Also managed to catch P.Ramlee The Musical. Amazing!
Next in line for the next 2 weeks, Baila Cuba @ Mont Kiara, another movie, Malaysian Salsa Festival in Johor, Beauty and the Beast,.
Lately, my daily routine consists of coming back from work and then sleeping...resulting in me being awake at this hour almost on a daily basis. Oh well....
World Latin Salsa Congress, Tanjung Bungah, Penang
Left KL at 3.30am to drive solo for the first time all the way back to Penang(of course not telling my mom till I actually got there.) Crossed the bridge at 6.30am and surprisingly, the bridge was already packed, still moving but with plenty of visible traffic on it. Picked up a few salseros from Bayan Lepas before heading up to Tanjung Bungah Beach Hotel where the congress was being held. Took a short nap after checking in before heading for lunch and then the workshops began!
We had instructors coming from Singapore, Australia, Japan, Venezuela, San Francisco, Los Angeles and of cos Malaysia la.
Also, we had the band Geraldo Rosales and Our Latin Groove all the way from Amsterdam.
3 1/2 days of eating, dancing and sleeping. That is the life!

There was actually another earlier recording that for some reason didn't record, this was the second take later that evening. Personally, I liked the other one better, where I was more alert of the leads coming my way..hahah!! This one, I was dancing with my friend, Ash, who will be going back to India on Tuesday. He will be missed(as well as all his spinnings and crazy leads.) Come back soon Ash!!!
