Well I'm feeling somewhat better than my last post. I'm afraid I was seriously down in the dumps...but I'm all better now and ready for some serious blogging!!

First off I want to appologize to all of those that I've neglected in the passed 10 months...I promise to visit all of your sites soon. I'm anxious to find out how all of you are doing. Plus none of you are gonna visit my site till I visit yours and let you know that I'm still alive!!

Wow...New Orleans is quite the town!! I couldn't believe how it was...and I'm not even sure if I enjoyed it.

Ok, well that's a lie...the buildings and everything cultural was beautiful, but I could have done without the stench on Bourbon Street...Yuck!

All in all the trip was ok...eventhough I learned a lot of things about my co-workers that I never imagined before...bad things...crazy things...wierd things...but I'm not here to judge so I won't. People are people whether you think they are doing something wrong or not...it's not your place to say anything...*sigh*

Oh and another thing...Why do men lie?! Can anyone help me out?!

Hey Hey Hey...What's up everyone?! Well I know that there hasn't been much traffic on here at all, but I hope to change all that. ReRe's back!!!

Well let me tell you all a bit about what I've been up to...hmmm...Mostly work and all that fun life stuff. Now that I'm out of school and living in the "Real World" ...I couldn't wait to start, but now I've realized that it's all so mundane...The same thing day in and day out. BLAH!! It's hard to stay motivated and interested in a job in an industry that's male dominated. They treat me like shit most of the time...

Let me explain. I work on the trading floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. It's hard for women to break through in this place because you are constantly having to prove yourself. You have to be relentless, hard, tough...There's no room for error...

I was told two rules when I started this job:

1) Never date anyone that works on the same trading floor as you;

2) Never let them see you cry.

Number two is the hardest...I've lost count of the number of times that I've felt like everything was just going to fall apart. It happend again today...

The day started off really rough cause I was rudely awakened in the morning, and nothing was working out the way it should. Then we ended up being extremely busy for the first 3 hours of the day...When it's really busy...mistakes are made, and it seemed like I was the only one around to blame...even if it wasn't my fault...It's hard not to take it personally, especially after being yelled by several different people.

Don't get me wrong, this place is incredibly interesting sometimes as well. When people are in a good mood, it's a wonderful place to work. It was funny cause today one of our clerks showed up late and so they made him run to get everyone else in the company lunch (about 20 people). They made him go to several different restaurants...lets just say he probably won't ever come in late again after this!!

Well I think I'm gonna hit the sack...I'll drop by soon with more CME tales!!

Things have been really crazy in the past several months, but I'm happy to say that I've settled down a little. I'm finally hooked up to DSL (and loving it!) so I will be making regular appearances once again!!

I am currently in Chicago right now, working hard. My job is going good...going on 4 months now. I just got a raise last month so I guess that means I'm doing good.

Hello hello!! Thanks everyone for your comments.

You'll never believe what I found in the field today. I saw a ribbon when we were checking out our fruit trees. I didn't think much of it, I just thought it was some garbage from Christmas. I picked it up and I saw a deflated balloon and a note attatched.

It was from Spokane, Washington!!! That's over 500 miles from me!! I was so blown away by that. There was an address too, so I'm gonna send the little boy a letter. I hope he write back because there was no date on the note and I'm interested to see when it was let loose. To think it travelled all that way.

Life is so interesting sometimes, don't you think?! I always sent those balloons up into the air and I wondered where they ended up. Maybe this one found me for a reason...hmmm...who knows, huh?!

Sorry for the long silence. Life has been crazy, but I don't mind that because it makes the time fly. All I want to do is get my papers and move back to Chicago...after that, who knows what's gonna happen. I can't wait to just live for me for a while. It's gonna be great!!

The job is going as good as can be expected. I definately don't like the job as a receptionist. Do you know what we have to put up with every day?! I have a whole new respect for secretaries and their equivalent. At least I've been able to practice my french...and I must say that it is a bit rusty. I don't enjoy it at all, but hey...it's money, and we can all use some of that.

The last two weeks were really crazy, but I'm going to be going to part time starting this week. The money isn't as good, but I need the time off to regain some sanity!!

Well anyway, that's all I've got to say for now...oh yeah, and I miss everyone!!! I wish I had more time, and hopefully in the next few weeks I will.

Hi!! How are ya?! Well after a week on the job, I'm starting to get comfortable. Oh and they want me to work full time now, so I guess that means they really like my work. It's a long week, but I know that the money's gonna be good.

Tomorrow I'm on my way back to Saskatoon. I have to go back for an exam that I'm writing on Tuesday. Plus we have to finish cleaning the apartment so that we can get our damage deposit back...I hope Rhea didn't have any wild parties while I was gone!!

Then after my exam I cruise back home to come back to work for Wed. at 8am. It's kinda hectic, but I'm not really minding it because it's making the time pass by really fast. Before I know it, I'm gonna be back home in Chicago!! I can't wait!!

Hello Everyone!! I hope you're all doing well...you're all in my thoughts, that's for sure. I just wish I had more time to spend on the internet. I miss the good ole days when I could be online for hours at a time...hehehe

Anyway...I finished my second day of work today. Hooray for me!! After yesterday I didn't think I could handle this job, but today went much much better. 2 days down, only 16 more to go!! LOL How bad is that if I'm already counting down the days?!

It just isn't the job for me, that's all I know. I'm making the best of the situation, but I know it will be a long 6 weeks. Tomorrow I'm done at noon!! I'm excited for that at least. We'll see how nice the first paycheque is. That should be pretty motivating too!!

Well I've got to stop tying up my parents phone line...I need some sleep, cause this job is just sooooo crazy!! and if I had to do it every day full time I'm sure I would actually go crazy. Good thing I've got my family to keep me relatively sane!!
