Interests: This blog will be updated when we see something in the UK high street shops or on Ebay that works for a Rocky Horror costume; that is, is ready to go or can be easily adjusted for anally retentive accuracy. Be warned - shops change stock frequently, and auctions end, so the items may not be current.
Expertise: "The Student's Guide To Rocky Horror Costumes" was originally started in 2000. It's owner, MJ, found that, personally, she was more interested in what bargains she could bag off Ebay as a start for a costume - not everyone has the Saffron touch - and wanted to integrate this into the site. As such, the RHCS was born in early 1996. It was passed on to Lisa Duffy in 2007 who is now the chief costume hunter!

Is this thing on?

Hi everyone, this is Lisa, the new RHCS uberlord. Thanks to MJ for handing things over so smoothly.
I'm just feeling my way around this and should have some new costume entries up shortly.
Thanks,
Lisa :)

Changeover

Ok my lovelies, it's time for me to bid you farewell.
The very wonderful Lisa will be taking the reins and keeping you updated with top Rocky purchases for here on in, so remember to leave a message if you find anything yourself too.

So long, and thanks for all the fish...

MJ x

Crikey, baby pink is a hard colour to get a dress in these days from the shops - Ebay is very important!

While I'm sure there are excellent Brad jackets doing the rounds in store, I saw a great one in BHS today. Admittedly, it was in the womens section for some reason, so aside from the zip presumably going the 'wrong' way, it's all good!

I'm liking the instant outfit guide for the moment. I'll vary the sizes the next time around.
Today: Columbia, finally, based on size 10 size 4.

Total = £5+

Total = £28+

Total = £29+

See the Janet section below for Floorshow.

Once again, back to the instant outfit guide from Ebay.
Today: Magenta, based on size 10 size 4. Mainly because I'm terrified of doing the Columbia and I'm putting it off.

Total = £12+

  Total = £23+

Total = £49+
