| Wow, it's been awhile since I've updated this. Life just gets so busy that updating my Xanga site takes a really low priority!! I hope everyone's summer is going well ('everyone' being anyone who still checks this). Hey, if you're a friend and haven't heard from me for awhile (email or the like) shoot me an email. Odds are I don't have an updated email for most of you. Doug and I travel around so much, it might be nice to see some people when we're out and about. Anyway, that's about it for now. No major updates yet, although there's lots in the works. Doug and I are just pluggin along at full speed trying to get caught up and then get one-up on everything. Lots of hard work and long hours - but the rewards will come, and then we'll have some fun!! | | |
| Oh this is SOOO cool! I took a whole week off from work (mostly to help Doug recover from a minor surgery and then go out of town for the weekend to a business conference) but even still, it's the longest that I haven't gone to work since I started working there in June 2004. I woke up this morning - at 9:30 - and looked out my window and it was snowing! I thought to myself, "Man, someone had to drive to work in this - at 6:30am in the dark!" I'm very thankful for my job, but I really can't wait to get rid of it!!!
Quixtar, the supplier for my online business, makes this wonderful holiday blend coffee that I'm drinking. It's like someone sprinkled cinnamon, nutmeg, and gingerbread in it! Yum! Speaking of my business, it's going really well. We've met so many fun people and made many new friends. It's becoming more and more profitable, but not quite enough to come home yet - maybe within the next year or so. Plus, we'll need to get rid of that nasty college debt before I stop working!
I took some time this morning and subscribed to a bunch of people's sites. At one point, most were probably on my list, but I pretty much just stopped checking xanga for awhile back in 2004. I guess I just want to keep up to date with how everyone's doing, so I added them back on.
| Woo hoo - I won Lord of the Rings RISK against my hubby tonight! A well-fought, six-hour game no less (but I still won!). Now for something a little more productive....reading. | | |
| Crock pots rock! I received 3 as wedding presents but didn't like any of them so I returned them but never replaced them. Then my mom bought me one for Christmas this year, and it was perfect. I fixed stew in it for a New Year's Eve party and I love it! It totally beats the Raman noodle/canned tuna diet. I have next week off from work, so I'll be using it lots!!
On another note, boy do I miss the Western states. It's been six years since I've been out to the mountains - six years too long. I have to go back. Soon. To stay. One day soon we won't be stuck in flat ol' Indiana where there's nary a hill! I want snow - the skiing kind! And I just feel closer to God out there (maybe because His creation is so....in your face).
| Isn't she sweet! This is my baby niece Abby! She's now about 5 months old, but this was a newborn shot. I thought I'd test my new picture option! | | |
