| | Aloha! Hawaii is great, I finally got my Airport express to work, I hope the hotel doesn't charge me for it.
The wedding is over and it went very well. A big shout out to my little bro Eugene and my cousin James for kick-starting the party. They had a kickin' jam session that got my whole rowdy family on the dance floor.
My cousin Emily is getting married in June and I'm sure the family will tear it up on the dance floor there.
It took me and Leslie about 2 days to realize the traumatic experience of the wedding was finally done and then we could start enjoying our honeymoon. Right after the wedding, my folks left and Leslie and I were left behind alone at the Garrison. We changed our clothes, packed and left. We did take a few pictures together outside the joint, which were really nice. Then we got lost for about .5 hours on the way home to Queens. And then we started packing for our honeymoon until we took a 5:30 AM cab to JFK.
I also dropped one of our nice drinking glasses and had to clean up the broken glass in the kitchen, that really sucked.
We are both exhausted at this point, frazzled, circles under the eyes. I slept for about an hour and a half before the wedding day and here I was, running on nothing but sheer will to get to Hawaii. I managed to sleep in the airport and on the two planes.
Hawaii, what can I say, it's gorgeous and the people are so nice here. We got some great pictures of a deep sea turtle that looked just like Crush from Finding Nemo. He was surfacing for air and sort of wave me away, he was really cute.
The road to Hana sucked though, I've never driven so slowly on such a windy road before. It kicked our asses and we turned back without catching any large huge waterfalls. You see, we didn't want to drive back in the dark.
Snorkeling was dope, Leslie got sick of course, she's such a baby. Tomorrow we're getting up at 2:00 am to do some downhill mountainbiking from a mountain top, that should be dope. I hope the wife can ride her bike well.
The only good thing about the wedding was seeing my friends and other family members that I care about. It was sad to say goodbye to everyone when it was over. My best man Chris gave a great speech. I'll have pictures posted eventually folks, have no fear.
We haven't counted the money yet cause my folks just took it, I think they wanted to count it themselves. Whatever it comes out to though, I still won't think planning a wedding is worth it.
By the way, my life is back! When I go to work now, I can just work, not make four calls a day calling DJs, event planners and Kate's Paperie! I can burn my buddy Joe those dope Black Sabbath CDs I've been promising him for the last month, I can watch movies again, I can play ultimate! I can rent from Netflix and actually watch them! I can play Warcraft! I can be myself again.
Advice for anyone getting married: don't do it unless you have a wedding planner and you're very rich. It's a pain and it will show you once again how shallow and lame your parents can be. My mom told me that after the wedding she never wanted to see me again, we'll see if she holds true to that.
Thanks to all my friends though, who helped me out so much. Hughboy was about to cry when I gave him his groomsman gift. He says, "I was the best man at my brother's wedding and he didn't give me jack-shit!" He's so funny.
Oh yeah, me and the wife got to eat our wedding dinner, which was so damn good by the way. It was probably the best damn beef dish I ever had in my life (filet mignon).
