I am making a book called "Colorblind" with all the babies born at Mercy General hospital that I take photos of.

I saw a black and white template done with photoshop brushes.  I said I can make those and well I got carried away and made around 35 of them.  I wanted my book to have a different one on each page with only one baby on it.  I love black and white and am leaving the whole book black and white.

Some of these babies are just seconds old.  Sometimes I am taking photos during the delivery and sometimes I wait until right after their baths.  Since I do photograph them so soon after the delivery, they are sometimes sleeping thru the photos.

Here is the slideshow.

Hope you enjoy them as much as I love taking photos of them and designing.

Awesome! I love the graphics and the B&W but maybe you should expand to color as well.

OK when I saw you named the book "Colorblind"  I IMMEDIATELY thought, "I wonder if Robin used the Counting Crows song "Colorblind" for the slideshow  Great minds think alike  I really love that song.  First of all, you are so creative with the photobrushes you just freak me out.  They are all beautiful.  And the photos are AMAZING.  I would love to somehow see the book when it is done.  Great idea and beautiful photos! -Jen

Robin...that was simply beautiful and the black and white was definitely the way to go and of course it worked perfectly with the templates and the song...you MUST share it with the rest of the world and publish a book of these!

You did these brushes yourself?! I am not surprised but I am drooling!

Taking off in the morning! yeeha!

Talk when we get back!

Love ya, Kerri

Great idea! Looks super cool and I think would be VERY touching for people at the hospital. Just tonight I was asked about doing a similar thing for the hospital during a newborn shoot and I'd love to know how you established your relationship with them. We love NEWborns but often times get them a bit too late for my desires and I think the D3 would be well-suited in that situation.
Take care and I hope you're at WPPI to meet-up.
