thank goodness it took only a weekend to make me realize that i can't just let this year fly by.
im supposed to be graduating and going to university, trying hard and studying in school, making the best of the time i have with some friends. but like always, its flying by me so quickly. its now october, but not long ago it was september. in september, not long ago it was august....you see where im going.
basically, i really want this year to mean something special and right now it feels like im taking it for granted. my mind isnt focused into milking this year and harvesting as much as i can from it, though it should.
sounds kinda corny but a weekend up north with those who are your friends and even those who are not, puts things a little into perspective. i want to store up great memories, so when i look back upon them as i grow and change, i can remember how i've grown and changed and remember those who have contributed to that. i want people to remember me, and likewise i want to remember people.
so approaching this month, im a little frightened that it will pass by quickly, or that i will be so tired. so just pray that God takes me through this time or phase or whatever, to really help me decide where i want to go in life, and to help me make good decisions.

of all the things i do, its one of those things that hasnt felt like a burden.
and its that much cooler cause i have a sick new shirt and sick new shoes =).!!

what karen did this summer:
1.tkpc promiseland summer camp
super fun memories, the first cake in the face, teaching algebra, meeting new friends and seeing old.
2.beach/tournaments
some sun/wind, cap times, sick times, mina bina  and company.
3.BASIC praise night 06
roller coaster ride, God is crazy, i love my brothers and sisters, from the inside out, second cake in the face.
4.tkpc youth retreat
God is still crazy, nooo!, good food, even better friends, oompa loompas.
5.BASIC (cap/full gospel/vision) retreat
God exceeds understanding and craziness, sulfuric acid, cup lamyun, nunas x2, loving brothers and sisters,GRACE.
6. capstone coffeehouse (the first)
family, pulling together, hockey, strength from the small, friends from all places, stress, rest, GRACE(again)
7.time with those i love
whether we talked, ate, shopped, stood, travelled, swam, sang, played together, i hope you were as blessed as i was.


...and after it all, im so thankful. thankful and tired yea, but God poured out the super blessings this summer. thank you God! =)

now to look forward to the last year of highschool, more cva, some "teacher karen", and who knows what else but one thing stands firm...there is no way i can survive it without God.
