life is an adventure

i'm already back from kamp. mind you, it felt very weird to leave early... but none-the-less, working in the kitchen for a term was quite the humbling experience. i learned how to love others...those that are "unloveable..." those you've "had your fill of" and those who don't love you...

i've really been trying to process this past year and what's gone down so far this summer, but it seems like i have too much to do. i don't think at this point, i'll EVER have time to just chillax, look back and see where i've come from...

on wednesday i'm leaving for Peru...i'll be there until the 20th. i'm really looking forward to going to another continent and sharing the love of Jesus...if only i had enough guts to do it in my own country as easy as i do in other countries...

well, i'm actually kinda tired and want to process a little before i hit the sack...

2 Chronicles7:14

it's times like these that make me think to myself that my days are numbered. you NEVER know when you're going to go. yes, it's important to live life...Jesus came that we may have it to the fullest, but at the same time, does that mean we should neglect others? NO...Jesus calls us to love one another. PERIOD. i don't feel that, until we learn to love another, this world is going to get any better. religious intolerance, descrimintastion against those with different sexual orientations, and people who just look different from us are not seeing the love of Christ as they should. i'll be the first to admit that i do not love others as actively as i should. LOVE IS ACTIVE! we cannot go thru life expecting God to bless us, if we don't do what He's called us to. I AM JUST AS GUILTY.

i've also started thinking about how everyone needs Jesus. we really do. for those who have experienced Him, you know where i'm coming from. and for those who haven't, you're missing out.

i truly believe that once we come to the realization that life is worthless without Jesus, things will getr better. yeah this sounds real naive and cheesy, but it's TRUE.

IF MY PEOPLE, WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME,

WILL HUMBLE THEMSELVES AND PRAY AND SEEK MY FACE AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS,

THEN

WILL I HEAR FROM HEAVEN AND

WILL FORGIVE THEIR SIN AND WILL HEAL THEIR LAND.

we are a broken people, and will NEVER be whole until we surrender our lives to the One who gave them to us...

SO TIRED

i have been VERY tired this week. i had a ton of games, dance, basketball, and drama practices, homework, and studying to do. had 2 tests, 2 b-ball games, and little sleep... sleep these days just doesn't seem to be fullfilling...and it stinks. but all in all, GOD IS GOOD. i've got a TON of things going on, and yet i have no idea what i'm doing. things could change in a matter of seconds. but i have recently come to truly trust that the Lord has everything under control. and it's actualy kinda freeing!

Jazz...if you wanna come stay with me, let me know what weekend is good for you...i'm down for whatever! i'll just have to pencil you in!

MORE CURVE BALLS

well, just when you think life is crazy enough , you get more curve balls thrown at you from all directions. well i thought i had my whole life planned:

i'd be done with classes in may, go home to watch the sis graduate high school, go on a mission trip to Mexico (during 1st term) and get spanish credit while serving the Lord, go to kamp 2nd term, then up to pennsylvania for another camp, come back to tx to graduate, and then go back to pennsylvania to finish the summer until i move to branson...

well, it looks as if i'm not going to mexico (the trip was canceled), gonna drop the spanish minor (don't have time to get the last credits), might be taking a trip to peru, going to kamp during 1st term instead of 2nd...  completely different than what i had planned...go figure.

NOTHING in life is permanent (minus salvation) and EVERYTHING gets crazier as the days go on.

i've found myself wondering why i never consulted God...how can i plan this life of mine with out going to the one who gave me life in the first place...let me elaborate....

for some reason, i've fallen in love with latin american peoples...and had my heart set on this spanish minor. well, now that i have to drop the minor i'm stuck without a way to showcase how far i've come. but have i really? how much spanish do i really know? plus they say that the spanish you learn in school is NOTHING compared to what you learn while spending time in a foreign country. i want SO BAD to know the language, but still feel that i have nothing to show for it. just the other day, i found myself ON MY FACE crying out to the Lord for forgiveness...how could i try to be so proficient in spanish, when all i really had to do was ask the Lord for understanding and the gift of speaking spanish. i asked that i may become a spanish speaker to the spanish speakers that i may win some...

it hurts...but each day i guess i have a little more peace. i guess what i really need is some encouragement from the Lord. His encouragement is always the best. and now that i'm really thinking about it, i'm still kinda sad.
