| Love is worth the riskTHE RISK OF LOVING There is a risk involved in everything. Every time you share a smile, Every time you shed a tear, You are opening yourself up to hurt.

Some people tread slowly through life, Avoiding the closeness risk brings, Sidestepping the things they can't understand, Turning away from those who care too much, Those who care too long, Those who hold too tightly.
There is never an easy way to love. You cannot approach it cautiously. It will not wait for you to arm yourself. It does not care if you turn away.
It is everywhere, it is everything. Love is the greatest of all risks. It is not reliable, it is not cautious, It is not sympathetic. It is unprejudiced and unmerciful. It strikes the strongest of mind. And brings them to their knees in one blow.
Even in the best of times, love hurts. It hurts to need, it hurts to belong, It hurts to be the other part of someone else, Without either of your consent, But, from the moment it overtakes you, It hurts worse to be alone.
Loving You Today Glad We Took The Risk

| The most eventful day in Jacksonville, NC A very eventful day yesterday...in smalltown Jacksonville, NC. I was surprized there were no news people there. The apt across from ours about 20 feet away caught on fire yesterday. I am not kidding. See my myspace bullentin. They had a hole burned right through their roof. They are homeless now. It was scary. The police and fire men were there. They evcuated 20 people out of there apts. They knocked on the door and told me to get out. Josh had to come get me because they wouldn't let us back in the apts for 2-3 hours. We didn't get home until 6 p.m. and they were still there. A stove caught on fire from the grease. Please pray for them. It could have been our apt. All Josh could think about is if I was O.K. I was kind of mad when I called my mother and told her there was a fire and Josh was going to have to take me with him to the base. The first words out of her mouth were, "Do you have makeup on?" No, when the police tell me there is a fire I am evucating! Hello! Who has time for makeup then? I only had time to throw pants, my wedding ring on, and use his jacket, and get my purse in case I need idenitification on base. We were very lucky. Josh was able to come get me and take me to work with him. I got to meet our "adopted son" Stanley. I call him that since Josh calls and wakes him up to go to the gym sometimes at 4:30 a.m. in the morning. | | |
