Oh MY GOSH!!! I’m back on Xanga!!!!! HORRAY!!

I just thought that I write on Xanga site since I haven’t written anything for what like…..

FIVE months now!!!

At least you now know that I’m not dead yet…haha!! Sorry for not updating this guys.

I think I’m too old for Xanga…lol!

But to quickly summarize my last few months, I had been busy performing several concerts with my chamber choir during the holiday season, and in The Nutcracker this Christmas season!! I’ve been also busy with school taking 20 units last quarter and now 22 units this quarter…yikes!!

This quarter, I am doing stuff with my new fraternity Sigma Chi….not to party or find girls, but to do ministry stuff with InterVarsity…hoping to lead a bible study next school year and expand the Kingdom of God within the Greek society. I am also doing choir again this quarter, conducting research in my field, and have plans to study abroad this summer.

Anywho, I wonder who actually still reads this thing….after not updating this site for over FIVE months now!!

If you read everything in this Xanga entry and are still here, then I will sooo give you a cookie right now!!

`

So…..it’s been awhile since my last xanga update. School at UCI has finally started up again. I’m finally a JUNIOR!!! Two more years to go…haha!! Week 1 has just ended…..and somehow I still have this idea that school has not started yet....weird I kno!

My summer went by quickly. I can’t believe how two sessions of summer school flew by quickly in a couple months. College Briefing (summer camp) was amazing…one of those life changing experience I had with God. My trip to Mexico with my home church was also great….had quality time with my old friends!!

P1010085[1]

But to not just blah about my summer, I’m actually looking forward to school this fall quarter. Meeting new friends, living with my new roommates, rebuilding relationships with my old friends, InterVarsity, dancing with my dance team and being on the competitive team, finally taking upper division classes (NO more breath requirements), performing at the UCI Madrigal Dinner, and all the conference/retreats to Catalina Island, Las Vegas, Big Bear Lake, and St. Louis, Missouri this fall quarter!!

Anyways, just thought I update this xanga site since it’s been quite awhile from my last post….at least you know I'm still alive

So...a couple weeks ago, I’ve mention something that I was going to post some of my self-portrait on this site. Well, here it is – the new look of Roy Chan:

`

to ME!!!!

Sunday, August 13, 2006
`

Wow, I haven’t update this xanga thing for soo long. At one point, I sort of forgot that I even had a xanga site…haha!!

But…to summarize my last two weeks:

Summer School, Church, Dance Practice, Serving Others on Serve Day, Harvest Crusade at Anaheim Angels (Greg Laurie was amazing!!), Hope For Long Beach, and Modeling for Bleu Cotton Photography Studio (will post pictures some ‘rad’ cool pictures later).

But speaking about Harvest Crusade, I was sincerely moved by Greg Laurie’s message last night. About 45,000 people showed up at Angels Stadium on a Saturday night, and about 4,365 made a decision to follow Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Amen!

God is almighty powerful!! I begin to finally realize how God made everyone how they are supposed to be. Though we all have sinned and we all make mistakes, God still love us unconditionally!! And the Bible tells us that if we claim to be Christian but hate a brother or sister in Christ, then we are a true liar!! So don’t hate on anyone, but instead love yourself….and love others as you love yourself!!

question to consider ;
a) How can you make the best use of what God has given you?
b) In what area of your spiritual growth do you need to be more patient and persistent?

d) How can you help cultivate today the characteristics of real community in your small group and your church?
e) What one step can you take today to connect with another believer at a more genuine, heart-to-heart level?

One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed that he was walking
along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets
of footprints in the sand: one
belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life
    flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints
    in the sand,

    he noticed that many times
along the path of his life
there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened
at the very lowest and saddest
    times in his life.

This really bothered him and he
    questioned the LORD about it:
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
    troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
    I  don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."

    The LORD replied:

    "My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."
