It has been a very busy summer and i don't know where all the time has gone. I must really be getting old because time just seems to fly by. The kids start back to school on the 29th of August which is next Tuesday. i hate having them back in school. i miss them. i have alot of fun with my kids.
My grown kids have passed through at various times this summer. i have enjoyed Wesley and Cielo this summer more than ever because their Mom and Dad are in the process of moving to either Rochester,NY or here in Ohio somewhere. i am looking forward to them being closer especially since there is a new little Wilkin on the way.
Angi was here briefly in August but did not bring my granddog with her because she was making many stops along the way. So i miss you, Bailey. Angi is well into her final year of classes for her doctorate in math and then she will be up to her ears in writing a thesis. Sounds overwhelming to me. Good luck, Angi and by the way, the next time that you are in town, there is a lady at our church that teaches high school math and she said that she would like to talk to you. She thinks that it would be interesting and she would like your opinion on math teaching, etc.
Robb and Kelly and the kids i have not seen in forever and i miss them. The kids are growing up so fast. i don't know a whole lot about them. i know that Robb is starting a new job and Kelly is working and i think going to school for nursing. Kalyssa will be in 7th grade this year and Ki-J in 5th i think; Kaleb will be in 1st grade and Kenya starts Kdg. this year. Unbelievable how they grow.
Cheri and Tim are separated and Cheri has been making it on her own. Has an apartment in Wadsworth and gets Carrie as much as possible. Carrie started back to school on Wed. of this week and we were all out to Cheri's on Aug. 11th for Carrie's 9th birthday. We had a great time and got to go swimming and eat ice cream cake and play with Carrie's toys and just have a really good time together.
Vince and Kim and little Julian are doing fine and most of you know that i get to spoil Julian alot because we live so close to each other. That is a special joy to me. i miss seeing my grandchildren that live so far away and Julian helps to fill the empty spots. He reminds me alot of his Daddy when he was growing up because Vince liked to throw things and so does Julian. i think that he thinks that he is Hulk, Jr. since his Daddy always was called the Hulk when he was little.
Justin, Ashley and Brenin were in for a few days in August and it was great to see them. Brenin is getting so big and is very smart. His Mommy and Daddy have taught him to sign please and thank you and it is really cute.. His Mommy takes pictures all the time and she took him out to play in a mud puddle and took pictures of him. What a brave Mommy. He was a mess but i know that he had a great time doing that. That was really neat, Ashley. Can't wait to see the pictures. We (Kim, Julian, Justin, Ashley, Brenin, Tyler and i) all went to the Cleveland Zoo while they were here and it was really fun. Brenin and Julian were more excited about their balloons than the animals i think. It was alot of fun for Namaw. Thanks, Kids and Grandkids.
Mandi and her kids are not doing so hot. i worry alot about them but there is not much i can do except pray. Kylie is 3 and Katie is 2 and i have not seen them in several months. Hutch is no longer with Mandi although i guess he does see the girls. Please pray for Mandi that she will get herself together for the sake of herself and the kids.
Aymarie is a Senior this year and i can hardly believe it. She and i went on her band trip in April of this year and had a wonderful time. i went as a chaperone. We went to NYC and Gettysburg and the site of theFlight 93 crash. it was a wonderful trip. i was so proud to be there and see my daughter and the band playing at the base of the Statue of Liberty. Proud to be in a country where things like that are possible. Pray for Aymarie as she makes decisions about her future and where she will go to college. She is very active in her church youth group and also went on a Missions Trip to York,PA this summer. First football game complete with marching band etc is tonigt against our rival band - Ellet.
Tyler is in 6th grade this year and is in his second year of band. He plays percussion and loves to play video games and basketball. He is just a typical boy and i will miss both him and Aymarie when they go back to school this next week. Oh i know that they will be home every night and on the weekends but i really enjoy my kids and do not look forward to them going back to school.
Grandma took a bad fall a couple of weeks ago and is not bouncing back as easily as she usually does. Please pray for her that she will recover and be able to get back to church that is what she desires most to do.
Enough. So is everyone happy that i have updated? |
