| well its been awhile but I guess I'm going to actually try and start one of these things. Where to begin... well i guess ill start from where i left off... this is gonna take awhile. Well i ended a semester at Miami, which actually near the end began to vastly improve and i began to enjoy it, but it still wasnt worth what i was paying nor the distance away from home.
Winter break was phenominal. I got to party with the brigade again and see everyone that i wanted to see, which is nice because if i didnt want to see them over break, i didnt have to. It wasnt like i was going to have to get an earfull from them the next day at school because we dont go to the same schools anymore. Over break i got to party quite a bit and i dont think i was sober for any 48 hour period, wow that makes me sound like an alcoholic, but im not. I had quite a few classic late nights and all and all it was a tremendous month.
In mid-january i began my life as a missouri tiger with a bang... well actually with a gothic roommate. He was a real good dude and all, but walking into a room that is all black, full of maryiln manson and such posters, and trying to sleep to hardcore posion and such music is just not my idea of a good time. Now i reside with a cool ass roommate, my roommate for next yr in a duplex next yr as well, that is from lawrence kansas, home of the gayhawks, but its all good.
In late february I ventured down to see one of my best friends in Juanes Brock, Jon Brouk to all you non-Rugsy speakers, as well as probably my best friend and person that i care most about in Allie. Once again New Orleans was an amazing time and it was fantastic to be able to see those two once again and to be able to spend time with them once again. This particular weekend brought back many fantastic memories like chillin with the homies, late nights at the mansion, prom, and just standard movie nights at the crib. Leaving New Orleans was really hard and it felt like i was leaving some of the most important people and people who have had a lot of affect on my life and that made me sad.
But on a lighter note I returned home and now i do basically three things: study, sleep, and work for the baseball team, and occasionally party if im not drained. Talk about time consuming. Baseball has taken over my life, but hey i knew this was going to happen and i enjoy it. Without baseball i dont what i would be like. The team is doing really well so far and is sitting with a 21-4 record and as i write we are coming back from slu where we won 16-8, not too shabby for a team expected to not fair well in the big 12 this year, i guess they didnt realize we had some good ass pitchers on the staff.
Well in conclusion, the rest of my semester is going to be filled with a lot of travel, a lot of baseball, and a few tests but who really cares about those. Ill be back to the lou around late May early June if we continue to do well, which kind of sucks but it means that i get to go to regionals and so on which would be amazing. I cant wait to see everyone again this summer and party like old times, its gonna be a good summer! |
