• hiking = 3 miles

the boyfriend and i went hiking today at eaton canyon natural park in pasadena. there were a few trails that we got to choose from and we picked the one with a waterfall. i heard about this place from a friend who went there recently and she saw a family of deer! we didn't see any deer and i was hoping to see one, but wildlife can be unpredictable. here are some pictures from the waterfall (the waterfall was kinda weak):

i never heard from either bally or 24 hour fitness for a job interview. it has been two weeks since i went to the job fair where the people from bally got my resume. they said a recruiter would call me in 72 hours. it has also been two weeks (from tomorrow) since i got an automated email from bally saying that someone would call me within one week - the email said that if i didn't hear from them, they found someone else, but i think they were just NOT interested in ME. i think someone from 24 hour fitness tried to call me? there was an 800 number on my caller id. my number is on a do not call list, so telemarketers and other such people aren't allowed to call me without getting fined. so see, this is what happens when you screen your calls and don't answer your phone for numbers you don't recognize. now i will never know if they really called and i just may have lost an opportunity to be interviewed. i'm sad now. i guess i should move on and apply somewhere else.
