Now you can test your appitite on the mother of all hamburgers. A 15 pound burger dubbed the "beer barrel belly buster" is available for those brave enough to try it at Denny's Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield, PA. According to the owners

the burger comes with 10.5 pounds of ground beef, 25 slices of cheese, a head of lettuce, three tomatoes, two onions, a cup-and-a-half each of mayonnaise, relish, ketchup, mustard and banana peppers -- and a bun.
In fact, there is even an eating contest to determine who the mightiest of the mighty are. So far, no one that has tried has ever been able to finish in time, even the two gentlemen in the picture below had to ask for doggie bags. Did I say no one has finished it? I meant almost nobody, there was Kate Stelnick (a 100-pound female college student from Princeton, NJ) who managed to put away the $30 beast of a burger in less that the three hour time limit. She was given a T-shirt, certificate, and the restraunt picked up the bill for the burger. A 100-pound chick, ate 15-pounds of burger.... she ate a meal that was 15% of here body mass in less than three hours.... What kindda machine is she, thats unreal..... Oh well, that my random news story for the day, hope ya'll enjoied it. Now back to studying the Object Oriented Paradigm... Lata

Now, you see the movies listed up there. My roomies and I have decided to have a movie night to blow off steam before finals. So we're watching the greatest who-cares let-it-be movies ever created, Office Space and Van Wilder. Between the two of them we should be able to wash all our cares away and get a good fresh mind for finals as they come up. Well, as these movies are slowly removing all traces of intelligence from my head, I'm gonna go ahead and sign out.

Playing Throughout the Whole Dream
The Battle For Everything
By Five For Fighting
4 - 100 Years

Alrighty, I had the wieredest dream last night. It was so realistic that I honestly had to wonder just a little bit... I mean to the point that when I woke up I was wondering what was a dream for a bit, then I heard the alarm and realized I was really awake (and upset since I couldn't fall back asleep and finish the dream)

The dream was sometime in the closer future, and the stage was entirely in a... hotel, but a fairly nice one, not your average motel 6 or best western. I think it was near christmas, there was a tree of some sort in my suite, by the counter between the kitchenette and the living room. And I was running a little late for a party in one of the reception halls downstairs. I was setting some stuff up in the room (going through my suitecases looking for something) and the I specifically remember the bell boy saying that my friend and I were lucky to get this room because he had heard that every hotel in town was sold out. Then I realized that I heard a shower running, I just assumed it must have been either Lee or Ryan (the bellboy did mention my friend) and kept going through my bag. When I noticed the bell boy had moved the rest of the stuff in, I went to the door to give him a tip, and saw both Lee and Ryan walking towards the elevators. They stopped to tell me I was late and to hurry up; and that they would stay and wait for me, but they left the girls downstairs and had to get back to them. So now I'm getting confused as the bellboy shuts the door... and then a memory comes to me, it was (Lee I think) telling me that every room was booked solid, and that they had to share rooms just to get enough. He said that all the rooms had two double beds, so I'd have my own, I'd just have to put up with a roomate. But he didn't tell me who it would be. So now I'm trying to figure out who I'm stuck with when I hear a voice talking over the sound of a sink running. "Oh, you made it. Aren't you going to the party downstairs." I reconize the voice, its someone I know well, but I just cant place it. I know that I should be able to just hear the voice and know who they are instantly, but it just isn't working; my mind knows who it is, it just won't tell me. So, still confused, I answer "Yeah. I'm just running a little late" Then I hear the voice again, but this time garbled a little... like... like they were brushing their teeth and talking to me at the same time, "OK. I'm running very late, and I promised someone I'd meet them in a little while to, so I may just skip the party. But I'll be back later, and I'll see you then." Again I knew the voice, but couldn't place it. Then I noticed that I had found what I was looking for, in the side pocket of my bag was an envelope, like a card...sealed with no name on the outside. So I turn to the door and start to leave when I hear footsteps falling in behind me, and my confusion and curiosity take over, forcing me to turn back around. And I see (her name to be kept confidential for the time being) standing behind me, her hair still wet as she reaches in a bag, pulling out a blow dryer and curling iron. My heart literally skips a beat (i could feel it in my chest) as the shock pours over me. She looks up and smiles, "Whats the matter, I ..." ...... And I lost it, waking up as the alarm blared next to my head.

I tried getting back to sleep (oh why did I set my alarm on a Saturday?) to finish the dream, but I couldn't... Its lost. But while I was in it, it felt so real I would have sworn it was. The smells, sounds, textures.... everything, perfect.. Talk about a cruel trick of the subconcious mind, I've never had a dream feel that real before (had one come close, and hey it ended up resulting in a DejaVu as the exact thing happened in real life about two months later... maybe that'll happen here, and I can find the rest of the answers that avoided me)..

Ohh well, I just felt that this was of such importance/strangeness that it had to be posted. Oh, and the music thing at top, it was right before I woke up that I realized that the whole dream had 100 Years by Five For Fighting playing in the background... oh well... I've procrastanated enough writing this down, I suppose I have to go back to cleaning house now...

Later all

3 - Somewhere I Belong

Another day... long and fast... Not much happend except the fact that we passed the one-week-left-until-the-semester-ends point. That makes me happy.

Oh yeah, and the JAG serries finale was this evening. CBS was kind enough to keep it from being a total clip show and threw in enough new content to make us all happy. JAG has followed the exploits of fighter pilot turned lawyer Harman "Harm" Rabb for 10 years; and it normally did an outstanding job keeping the audience on the edge of their seats, begging for more. The shows finale was no differant, and although puncutated by file footage flashbacks, kept you wandering until the last fade out. And although I'm (fairly) happy with the way it ended I think that Bellisario (the shows creator and executive producer) and CBS made a big mistake by canceling the it. Perhaps move it to a less popular (monday prime, or any mid-day) time slot and carry on, even with their new characters if they had contract problems keeping the Harm (David Elliott) and Mac (the lovely Catherine Bell) characters around. But hey, it was their show and their choice. Oh, and as a side note, Bellisario has kept his reputation for evil-cliff-hanger finales a la Quantum Leap where there is one rather important question left to answer before the shows regulars are satisfied, and ... right as the question is about to be answered, the music fades up and the screen fades to black.... Like the number of licks to the center of a Tootsie-Pop, the world may never know the answer (in this case, which of the main characters resigns their military commission.... or in Quantum Leap, will Dr. Sam Beckett ever get to go home)

Oh well, its very VERY late now and I need sleep so I can start to clean the apartment tommrow (check out in less than a week now...) Sweet dreams to all, and to all a good night.

I've started moving to a new BLOG site!!!!

as of today I'm going to start using blogspot.com for my blog.  The address is:

http://rockettman.blogspot.com/

Thats fairly easy to remember.  If you really wanna know, I'm moving over there cause they have lots of the things Xanga only offers to its premium members, but BlogSpot gives 'em out for free  (no banner adds, free archiving, e-mail submission of blogs, you can even call from any phone and have your message posted to your blog as an MP3 file... all free of charge)

I will still update this one for a while, but it'll just be cuts and pastes from the site listed above. And I've moved a portion of my existing blogs over to blogspot, so it will be nearly as full as this page.
