Subject: One year ago...
Dear Group,
This is getting harder and harder as we get news like we've been getting about Josh. I'm sure that I'm not the only one that is burdened to pray constantly for a miracle in Josh's body. Keep praying, God is the God of the impossible.
Today is the 1-year anniversary of when Josh went to the doctor, because of difficulty breathing, and was diagnosed with a malignant and rare form of leukemia. This is not an easy day for the family. This could even be Josh’s last day on earth with us. We don’t know but in his condition, the Lord could take him today. Keep the Ewing family particularly close in prayer today, it being January 8, and every day thereafter that the Lord should keep Josh with us. His condition does continue to deteriorate.
We'll keep you updated as we can.

prayer....
Those of you may remember me asking for prayer over the past year of a guy from Word of Life... I just received this update... please continue to pray for him and his family during this time....
Dear friends of Josh:
We are writing to thank you for your prayers and ask that you continue to pray for Josh, Jen, and our family. For the past year, Josh has been fighting leukemia, and has been a constant encouragement to Jen and his family. However, at this time, from a medical perspective, there is nothing left to do; he is being kept comfortable with medications.
Our family and Jen have requested that they be given the remaining days and hours to spend as much time with Josh and one another. We all sincerely appreciate your support and prayers and realize we could not have walked this journey without your prayers.

I have been ready for 2008 for about 4 months now. Since I am an Event Coordinator I have spent the past few months planning for 2008 and 2009. So I am glad it is now here
The Christmas Season was great for our family. We had such a good time in GA for my graduation and family Christmas. The weather was nice, we got to see close friends, and made great memories with the family!!
The Christmas and New Year in South Bend was fun... here are some of the highlights:- Tearing out our kitchen and Pete working long and hard hours to get the cabinets and electrical work done before Christmas - it is really looking nice!!
- Christmas Eve at Pete's Dads house - they didn't put any name tags on the gifts so it made the exchange quite interesting!!
- Christmas Eve service at Granger - it is always a nice way to start Christmas morning, worshiping the one who gave us a reason to celebrate
- Christmas morning with Pete's mom at her house.... we made gave her this huge wall frame with tons of pictures of her family and kids... I think it was a hit and meant a lot to her!
- Lunch with the family - which is always followed up with a spoon on your nose contest - Uncle Richard showed up to surprise us all - he
- Adam's b-day party that night - my brother Nathan made it just in time for the cake and the song!!
- Back to work on the 26th but got off early enough to get the house ready for more company - my brother, his wife and four children came to visit for a couple days. (in addition to a quick visit from Dee Dee and her brother David)
- Friday night we had dinner at Logans with everyone and then went to Amy and Dans (bro and sis in law) for a bit
- New Years Eve Nathans girlfriend flew in and we had a good time hanging out with her.
- New Years Eve party - began at the Day's house with lots of fun games and great food - then we headed to Pete's moms house for the count down, sparklers, snow and more games and more food! We also watched a little of 30 rock... great show!
- New Years Day - we got up to about 6 inches of snow and went and built snowmen and had a snowball fight! This was followed by lunch at Top Notch and then shopping at Erskine Plaza....
The Lord has truly given our family a great 2007 even with the struggles and heartache... it has been great!

Remember me? I'm the girl who used to post on xanga pretty regularly.
I still read xanga posts everyday although I haven't posted in at least 6 months... I guess you really cant catch up so Ill just put up a post like I write on this this once a week....I am so excited! Pete and I leave tomorrow to head to Savannah for my college graduation! Since I finished up my classes about 4 months ago I have really been looking forward to the commencement ceremony!! We leave after Pete gets off work tomorrow night, will drive through the night, stop in Chattanooga to switch cars and pick up Nathan, and then head to GA. The graduation is Saturday morning and it looks as though all my family will be their to support me (minus Anna - China is a pretty long flight for a short weekend). We will then head back to Acworth, GA to stay at my brothers house and celebrate our family Christmas. I am SOOO excited to be with my family and about the idea of possibly getting to see a few friends while I am home!! Ill be sure to post some photos when I get back.....
p.s. remind me to tell yall about my new job
