Welcome to the weblog and graphics site of S. Majere! This site is primarily a personal blog charting the Photoshop mishaps and occasional happy-blunders of its owner. Said mishaps are available for you to use on your own Xanga or Myspace sites.
Xanga and Myspace layouts are free to use and can be found using the navigation to the right. Please read the terms of use before taking anything.

A shameless plug to a really useful review site - RockstarrReviews - that provides an unbiased, frank second opinion on resource sites that cater for the masses.
I was browsing my feedback today and noticed someone had found me by typing "s majere" into Google. Curious, I did the same and was amazed to find 218,000 hits (though Google's relevancy sorter narrowed that down to around 10 pages). Each page contains almost a complete log of my working online alias since 2006 - which is scary considoring I'm one of those paranoid nerds that knows They're out to get you. But that's besides the point for this post.
My point is that I found myself arriving at an old forum I used to post at two years ago - and an archive of all my posts. Reading through them was a mini-revelation in itself. I'm almost too ego-centric to admit it still, but I have had some serious issues back then. Anyone that dared disagree with me or who had an opinion I didn't like, was beat down faster than you could keep track of. I was evil. Beyond evil. In fact, I was a complete bitch. Quite possibly because at "that" age you just don't give two hoots what anyone thinks of you, who sees your attitude problem and why you should be nice to people you've never met. I was more immature than a larval goa'uld in a leisure centre (please, Stargate fans - get that reference) and I'm quite happy to announce that things...haven't improved much.
I jest, I've actually managed to narrow down the attitude to something more subtle over the years, wankers. I'm interested in knowing if anyone else can trace their own online history and if you can, if it's like finding an old friend again or reading up on some nutjob that the medication managed to do away with years ago?
Yes indeedy, there is several ways to take the previous comment. I also happen to agree that while I do love Stargate, that layout wasn't doing the whole 'I design graphics' take much good. Too simple for a Photoshopaholic, right? Right.
So let's see, I started this layout at 2am this morning, have it finished now, so that's about 6 hours to design, a few more to code. It features the lovely Rachel Weisz - and I have to thank Ian for the idea as he's got a soft spot for 'the nice librarian in The Mummy - whom you look like.' Score!
She's Firefox and IE friendly, all resolutions etc etc. I'm reasonably pleased with the outcome, though there are a few minor things that need sprucing up - the date headers, a new link button above the affiliate image maps and one or two piddling details. I'm leaving it for now.
