Well, it might be a little boring if I tell you that we had more snow....okay, we did have more snow, more like lots of chunky ice, and I guess we are supposed to get some more. It all came, though, AFTER, I returned from VA Beach. I was gone for 3 days to an NILD (now National Institute for Learning DEVELOPMENT) conference....came back very very tired, but was lucky to get back before the big storm. Most of my weekend was spent getting caught up on my sleep and on cleaning and other stuff around the house. Tomorrow is back to work..I think I am ready. We'll see

We had another day off from school yesteday due to a storm that came through. It was cold, windy and snowy, but that didn't stop anyone from shoveling or sleigh riding. Everything is back to normal, though, today with everyone back to school. We still have some more shoveling to do from the end of the storm last night, but overall it is really pretty outside and we actually have snow banks along out driveway and sidewalk. It is beautiful!

Well, in the middle of our "cold snap" that has lasted at least 2 weeks now, we got some more snow. We were only supposed to get about an inch, but once it started, it just kept snowing.....you know, not the stormy kind of snow, but the pretty, fluffy kind of snow that just keeps piling up. So, we ended up with about 5 inches, maybe? I guess no one really expected it and most of our afterschool activities were cancelled, but I didn't think it was really that bad. So now we have a new layer of fluffly snow AND it is frigid outside. I am soooo thankful for a warm house. People in die in this kind of weather, especially in the city so be thankful for the things that God has provided for you!

Oh, by the way, if any of you want to do a "good deed" that would be very much appreciated, a certain Navy friend of ours is on a 6 month deployment. He is very appreciative of any packages that he might receive. Homemade stuff isn't a great idea just because it can take more than 2 weeks for a package to get to him, but anyway, the point is, if any of you need a project, email me and I'll give you his address and some more details.

Ahhhh! Food tastes so good! I am finally feeling better...much better than I have felt in the past week! Talked to
G-ma and she said you guys have been exposed to "the bug" there in PA but that no was sick yet. I will pray you guys stay healthy! Everybody in Leigh's clan was feeling pretty good when they left here Saturday to head for OH. i think they will be back in PA on tuesday or so. Had a very good time with him and his family even though I was sick. Sad that I won't get to see them again for several months now. Anyway, I wanted to wish you all a Blessed New Year! We are having a quiet New Year's Eve...watching some movies, watching some football and eating some good food AND enjoying the quiet around here. Feels good NOT to be sick. Okay, bye ya'll.
