  • Second Day in the Office...

...wow.  There's a lot of stuff to do.  Major Foley was right....everything happens in the first week.

But it's all great, i'm beyond happy to be here and so excited with what i'm working on here at the Citadel.

Anyway, more updates once i get some time and hopefully an internet connection at home.

    Happy Thursday!

  • Fairly Uninteresting...

...life is pretty low-key this week at WBC (Western Bible Conference).

This is my job by day... (which just solidifies my position on having children--um, not so much)

...and by night. (baby drool kinda smells and we only get two shirts...)

But for a little bit i get to enjoy a beautiful view (and yes, that is my crazy fiance who decided to tear off everything but his pants the other day and just dive into the FREEZING water)

Other than that, not much is new in life.  Back to Crestmont late on Saturday, church Sunday, finish packing and cleaning on Monday.  Then Tuesday brings our official checkout at Crestmont (which means i finally get to see my report card!) and we are off to Albuquerque for a week!  Happy Wednesday!

  • Vacation, Phase 2

Today the remaining family from commissioning left.  After a long day at Seaworld and a long and tiring day at Disneyland, we're definitely ready for a break.  We just hung out and went to the mall today (read: stayed out of the sun).  Tomorrow Bob and i get to leave for a week in Phoenix.  We'll be in Flagstaff on Sunday and visiting all around the rest of the time.  We're going to my corps on Tuesday morning and we're still trying to pin down a time to check out Bob's corps.

I'm so excited--I've gotten lots of encouraging messages and notes from people that are excited about me coming to Phoenix Citadel.  I'm eager to get started, find out what my responsibilities are, and get active in the programs too (band and songsters here i come!).  Bob and i got the addresses to our quarters--actually, we each got each other's addresses originally.  Turns out they were reversed.  I'm living where i thought i would be living and Bob lives FIVE miles away (11 minutes according to mapquest).

Anyway, it's after 12:30, so technically we leave for the airport late this morning--i better get some sleep.  Happy Weekend!
