Soooo Kyle and I got engaged this weekend!  I know, crazy.  He lied and told me that he was working landscaping with his uncle on Tuesday (which they have done before) but really he went and met to talk with my dad and get the ring.  My ring is an antique that was my grandmother's weddding ring, then my mom's, now mine.  When the daughter gets married, the dad buys a new ring for the mom.  My dad did this two years ago though so it's just been there waitin' for me :) 

So, we went up North to Kyle's family's "house in the woods."  His grandparents and parents own it up there.  We have made many trips up there so it wasn't anything new.  I was, though, really hoping that he would ask me this weekend though but I didn't want to get my hopes up.  I told Heather that I thought it would be this weekend and she said that Kyle had told her everything and how he was gonna do it was really cute but not to get my hopes up for this weekend.  So I was kinda bummed but still thinking it might happen.  But we would be up there for three days so I had no idea when still.  I was thinking the dunes or the white pines (BEAUTIFUL perfectly lined forest of white pines that I looove) or the beach at Lake Michigan. 

I had nooo idea that is was going to happen when it did.  Alex, his brother, had been bugging us all day long about doing a treasure hunt.  He wanted he and his mom to make it then Kyle and I to do it and he would video tape it.  He does movies all the time and edits them and stuff and is actually very creative and good at it.  So, his mom finally went and made it with him and we were all set.  Like the 5th clue was a "travel pass" and we all had to get in the van...the entire family...i still had no idea...and they drove us about a mile from the beach.  They said that we had to walk to the bridge and that would give them time to put in the rest of the clues.  Still no idea.  So we freaking walked like 3/4 of a mile and we see Alex video taping us coming over this hill.  We do a few more clues and the last one said to follow the arrows up the hill and "X" marks the spot.  I started figuring it out when Alex was following us up the hill with the camera and his mom and dad were yelling at him to stop and come down.  I was thinking why video tape this whole thing and then not tape finding the treasure?  Oh...right.  He's gonna propose!!!  haha.  I still was a little cloudy on it though.  So we get up there and I dig it up and hand it to him to open since I dug it.  He handed it back so I opened it and there was a ring box :)  I opened that and it was empty?  He laughed and ran down the hill yelling "I got ya! You thought I was going to propose! haha!"  Ok just kidding.  He took the ring out of a velvet bag in his pocket (because he didnt want it to get lost or stolen...even though it was buried in the sand...and 10 seconds after his mom did it)  then he got down on one knee :) :) :) :)  I wont' tell you what he said :)  I can't remember most of it anyway.  But I said yeah...not yes but yeah.  And that was it :)  And then Kirk (his dad) gave me a rock and welcomed me into the family.

sooo we're on choir tour...yay.  i wanna go home.  not bc i dont like choir or singing.  bc singing is my most favorite thing in the world to do-hobby wise.  but i do miss my boy.  lots...and my bed.  k goin to go to bed. night

oh yeah...candis text me and told me her water  broke...she's not due till june.  so i call her right away like frantic and she is going on and on and then just busts out laughing and i just hang up as i remember it's april fools.  last yr at this time she was engaged and called me and told me she had cheated on her finace and was pregnant w./ her ex's baby.  i freaked out and she again started hysterically laughing. 

oh she's good.  i'm marking my calendar for next yr and i'm gonna get her goooood.
